I just wanted to make a quick post about replying to transfer emails in general. Most managers are very good at replying to emails (even if its only to say no out of courtesy)
I dont know about anyone else, but its frustrating when some managers dont ever reply to emails. This game is supposed to thrive on a community basis and emailing and setting up deals is one of my most favourite aspects
It only takes 2 seconds just to say "no thanks mate" - and ive found that in the past a failed attempt for one player has set up many other deals for other players
It also creates some great friendly banter between us all and enhances the game
So come on chaps!
ps this post is not aimed directly at the Real Madrid manager, but does anyone know if he/she is still playing the game? as ive sent numerous emails and never heard back since the game began (and i know im not the only one either)
If they are still playing maybe they can post here?
It's a problem with any pbem game of any decent size unfortunately. Managers will apply and be removed within weeks because they obviously liked the idea of playing but changed their mind later. The application process includes a couple of steps to try and cut out the people who do this but some do get into the game. If they're inactive they won't stay around long - you can email me to check if someone is sending in team sheets to find out if they're just ignoring you of course.
I agree with the opinions that it's just good manners to reply if you are playing the game. If you want another player you'd want a reply to your bid.
I have new applications waiting and now I'm back, the next update will have some inactive managers removed. Try to have some sympathy if a new Real Madrid manager is put up though because it seems you're all waiting for someone so they'll get bombarded with emails on their first week.
