was thinking the other day about the Emirates cup (a friendly competition Arsenal play pre season) and thought it would be a good way to play some teams we dont normally meet in FA - would this be possible for you to organise like the friendlies we used to have close season in the old game?
Obviously it is up to the managers to organise in full to cut down the time it takes you to organise and run the games
Was thinking as it doesnt affect player tiredness (or does it?) of the following format
1. Arsenal 2. Sevilla 3. West Brom 4. Athletico Madrid
for example with each playing the other to make a final match to make the winners. it would only invovle one extra game being played - but might be quite nice to play teams you normally might not (in the short term anyway - all the teams i picked might well be in europe in the years to come!)
would this be something we could look to organise at all?
No invite Simon? haha maybe Some teams would like to join in a comp at the nou camp, Juve, Boton and say Bilboa for instance. I'll leave some of my stars out of it Ronaldinho and Eto'o and make more of a comp out of it.
If it didnt effect fitness levels i would be up for it 2,only if it didnt effect the players, wouldnt want to play in a cup with no rewards and ruin the resty of the season because the players have tired, good idea if its done right
I'm not sure this would fit. The end of the season has a weeks break for me to run the large amount of updates. The Friday which is skipped is actually the European Cup final date, and Play-off final date. Teams not involved in all these used to be able to set up friendlies if they wanted.
Where would teams have time to fit in a tournament worth of games?
