Week Seven MOTFA Questionaire
1) Who will win in the Seria A top-of the table clash between Inter Milan and Roma?
2) Who will be the last team left with 0 points in the Premiership, between Fulham, Newcastle and Wigan?
3) If someone offered double value in cash for your teams best player. What would you do?
4) If your best player was one yellow away from a suspension and you had two important games (that realistically you could win); the first in the league and the second in the cup which game would you play him in?
5) Now that the first round of scouting has passed which player do you feel was the biggest bargain?
6) And similarly which player do you feel was most overpaid for?
7) QUESTION WILL APPEAR AFTER COMPLETED TRANSFERS ARE UP?
8) Have you already started thinking about the next round of scouts? And if so, will you stick to the country you were in for this round or will your choice be swayed by the results of last weeks scouting?
9) Have you ever taken advantage of a new manager and bought one of their best players for a fraction of the price?
10) If you could afford any player in the game, who would you buy and why?
7) Wayne Rooney was sold this week in what is set to be one of the seasons biggest transfers. But the question is; was he worth the large sum paid for him? And how do you think he will perform in the Spanish La Liga?
1) Who will win in the Seria A top-of the table clash between Inter Milan and Roma?
Both strike forces are formidable however it is Inter's stronger defensive record that suggests that perhaps they may come out on top, perhaps 2-1 or 3-2
2) Who will be the last team left with 0 points in the Premiership, between Fulham, Newcastle and Wigan?
I think it will most likely be Fulham as Newcastle and Wigan play each other next week which could well be a draw. If Newcastle win, then it is Fulham-Wigan next week which I fancy a Wigan victory in.
3) If someone offered double value in cash for your teams best player. What would you do?
At the moment there's lots of interest in Fernando Vaz who I rate as by most important player because of his potential. His double value is around £14m which I don't think is anything near what his value will be in two or three seasons' time. So without doubt I would reject the offer.
4) If your best player was one yellow away from a suspension and you had two important games (that realistically you could win); the first in the league and the second in the cup which game would you play him in?
Last season I had met our target of safety in the league quite early on so I was able to save my players for the Cup games which we did well in. However this season we have bigger targets to meet and the league games have to be the priority for me now.
5) Now that the first round of scouting has passed which player do you feel was the biggest bargain?
I think Klose and Lucio are great additions to the Sevilla squad, especially for the money paid for them. They are high stat players in key positions. If Tony can ensure that Zarate gets regular games over the next season or two then he could prove to be a real find also.
6) And similarly which player do you feel was most overpaid for?
I think Middlesbrough spending £4m on Romulo. The player only has a 6 for attack and I feel that with a bit more searching in the normal transfer market that a similar player could have been found for less money. I think that he will have to improve well in the next season update to be a good signing.
7) Wayne Rooney was sold this week in what is set to be one of the seasons biggest transfers. But the question is; was he worth the large sum paid for him? And how do you think he will perform in the Spanish La Liga?
I think he is worth it, totally. He is probably one of the top 3 players in the game, is only 25 and has 6 bonuses. Hes a far better player than Higuain who went in the opposite direction, and even though it would have been a blow to Paul to have to lose Gago as well, I think when Rooney starts scoring he wont miss Gago nearly as much!
8) Have you already started thinking about the next round of scouts? And if so, will you stick to the country you were in for this round or will your choice be swayed by the results of last weeks scouting?
I am still in need of strengthening in some positions and am hoping for those positions to be scouted in the German section of the market. I will be sticking with the German market as I believe the talent offered was as good as elsewhere and there is plenty more talent to be found there.
9) Have you ever taken advantage of a new manager and bought one of their best players for a fraction of the price?
I have often made offers to new managers for players, especially if they are short of cash and need some in to start to make their mark on the club, although if I remember rightly none of them came off mostly because the manager simply failed to reply! I wouldn't like to think of my offers being classed as 'taking advantage'
10) If you could afford any player in the game, who would you buy and why?
I think it would have to be one of the strikers, someone like Torres, Rooney or Berbatov simply because they usually score a lot more goals than the number of games they play in! I could cope with having a shaky defence and conceding 2 or 3 a game as long as the striker was up there putting 4 in the net!

1) Who will win in the Seria A top-of the table clash between Inter Milan and Roma? Im tipping Roma
2) Who will be the last team left with 0 points in the Premiership, between Fulham, Newcastle and Wigan? I think all will pick up point over the season but believe the last one will be Fulham
3) If someone offered double value in cash for your teams best player. What would you do? I would class Baines and Iniesta as my best players and I would reject double value. Both are of a good age and talent and both have bonus stats, even with double value I have my doubts that I could get better. Although if someone wants to offer me double value for Aimar who stats wise is my best player then feel free.
4) If your best player was one yellow away from a suspension and you had two important games (that realistically you could win); the first in the league and the second in the cup which game would you play him in? I would play him in the league as the cup always comes second for me.
5) Now that the first round of scouting has passed which player do you feel was the biggest bargain? Alou Diarra for 7.5m has to be the best signing I would say, only his talent lets him down but im sure he could sell on for a profit. Also Craig getting Ortgea for 3m is a steal, even if he retires this season I think 3m is a great buyas shown in his value.
6) And similarly which player do you feel was most overpaid for? I wouldn't say anyone was really overpriced and everyone has decent deals. Maybe 12m for Klose was a tad to much at 30 with no bonus stats but if I was Saville I would still be happy with it.
7) Wayne Rooney was sold this week in what is set to be one of the seasons biggest transfers. But the question is; was he worth the large sum paid for him? And how do you think he will perform in the Spanish La Liga? I think its a fair deal to be honest although not really great for either. If I was manager of either club I dont think id have taken it from either side.
8) Have you already started thinking about the next round of scouts? And if so, will you stick to the country you were in for this round or will your choice be swayed by the results of last weeks scouting? Im not thinking about the scouts yet and wont until it opens.
9) Have you ever taken advantage of a new manager and bought one of their best players for a fraction of the price? I paid around 5m (I think) for Hoskins from a new manager but wouldnt say I took advantage. I asked how much he wanted for a player and paid it, in the end he was sold in a deal for the same value.
10) If you could afford any player in the game, who would you buy and why? Ronaldo I think the reasons are pretty obvious, young, great talent, great stats and then using wingers in the game might get me a win.

1) Who will win in the Seria A top-of the table clash between Inter Milan and Roma? neither it'll be a 3-3 draw
2) Who will be the last team left with 0 points in the Premiership, between Fulham, Newcastle and Wigan?
Wigan i reckon as they have the poorest team in the premiership i believe
3) If someone offered double value in cash for your teams best player. What would you do? i'd take it because beingin seir b any money would be great but to get 24million or parker i ould get 3 or 4quality players to make up fr him easily
4) If your best player was one yellow away from a suspension and you had two important games (that realistically you could win); the first in the league and the second in the cup which game would you play him in?
i'd play him in the league i very much doubt i could win the cup at the moment
5) Now that the first round of scouting has passed which player do you feel was the biggest bargain? probably Mauro Zarate and Diarra i think are the best signings i think as they have gone relatively cheaply
6) And similarly which player do you feel was most overpaid for? Romulo i don't is worth £4million so that is probably the most overpriced
7) Wayne Rooney was sold this week in what is set to be one of the seasons biggest transfers. But the question is; was he worth the large sum paid for him? And how do you think he will perform in the Spanish La Liga?
i think he was worth it to be fair he could have and maybe should have gone for more with how good he is
8) Have you already started thinking about the next round of scouts? And if so, will you stick to the country you were in for this round or will your choice be swayed by the results of last weeks scouting?
i'll think about the scout window when it comes an i'll tick with the same country i don't tink i need to change it really
9) Have you ever taken advantage of a new manager and bought one of their best players for a fraction of the price?
not that i can remember haha
10) If you could afford any player in the game, who would you buy and why? chris riggott or pasqual from fiorentina as they'd be good centre backs for serie b and would fit right into the team
1) Who will win in the Seria A top-of the table clash between Inter Milan and Roma?
Inter all the way for me.
2) Who will be the last team left with 0 points in the Premiership, between Fulham, Newcastle and Wigan?
I can't see Wigan wining this season so it has to be them.
3) If someone offered double value in cash for your teams best player. What would you do?
You would have to take it wouldn't you?
4) If your best player was one yellow away from a suspension and you had two important games (that realistically you could win); the first in the league and the second in the cup which game would you play him in?
For me it would have to be the league as satying up is the most important thing for my club.
5) Now that the first round of scouting has passed which player do you feel was the biggest bargain?
Mauro Zarate i think will do well in this game.
6) And similarly which player do you feel was most overpaid for?
I don't think anyone was to be honest
7) Wayne Rooney was sold this week in what is set to be one of the seasons biggest transfers. But the question is; was he worth the large sum paid for him? And how do you think he will perform in the Spanish La Liga?
Wayne Rooney is a verry good player one of the best in the game i for one am not looking forward to playing against him this season.
8) Have you already started thinking about the next round of scouts? And if so, will you stick to the country you were in for this round or will your choice be swayed by the results of last weeks scouting?
I am yes i have some money coming in this week and i am thinking should i keep it for the next scouting window.
9) Have you ever taken advantage of a new manager and bought one of their best players for a fraction of the price? no i wouldn't say i have.
10) If you could afford any player in the game, who would you buy and why?
Without a doubt it would have to be Ronaldo or Rooney.

1) Who will win in the Seria A top-of the table clash between Inter Milan and Roma?
I would say Roma but the word is out that they might not be there for much longer and that might cost the team the title.
2) Who will be the last team left with 0 points in the Premiership, between Fulham, Newcastle and Wigan?
I think Fulham are signing the right players. Newcastle bought Johnson and will have to hope he can fill the boots of Martins. Wigan have a new manager who might be able to do something but I think Wigan or Newcastle will be last to pick up points because they are less active in trying to solve the problems.
3) If someone offered double value in cash for your teams best player. What would you do?
My most expensive player is Gareth Barry and I probably would accept double his value. Some players I think are very important to how my team is built and I might turn down double their value. I think the answer would depend if I thought I could replace them for less or improve them for that money. If I could not then the money would be useless to me.
4) If your best player was one yellow away from a suspension and you had two important games (that realistically you could win); the first in the league and the second in the cup which game would you play him in?
I would play him in the cup. I value the English cup very high and I enjoy my cup nights. We had much success last season because teams were putting out weak teams in the cup. We knocked out a Chelsea team who thought they could rest a few players and still beat us. The league is a long haul and you need depth to do well. I try and rotate my players from the first week to the last in the league and missing one league game would fit my normal plan so it would definitely be the cup he was played in.
5) Now that the first round of scouting has passed which player do you feel was the biggest bargain?
Recoba was a bargain. If he retires this season he could prove invaluable with goals this season still. I think Montenegro was overlooked by my competitors and to get him for his advertised starting price was great business because I was prepared to go higher to get him. He is a great addition to my team and he was bought with a purpose and not on a whim.
6) And similarly which player do you feel was most overpaid for?
I think a lot of the more experienced managers were very coy with their bidding on the better players. The cheaper starting players were probably the most over paid for because the small teams thought they only stood a chance with the cheapest starting player.
7) Wayne Rooney was sold this week in what is set to be one of the seasons biggest transfers. But the question is; was he worth the large sum paid for him? And how do you think he will perform in the Spanish La Liga?
You have to pay big for the best and Real Madrid wanted the best. They have a new manager and he must want to put his own brand of football in the team. United have struggled for a few weeks and he must have felt he needed to change something so maybe it has helped them both.
8) Have you already started thinking about the next round of scouts? And if so, will you stick to the country you were in for this round or will your choice be swayed by the results of last weeks scouting?
One scout is enough for me this season and next season I do not think I will have more than one again. Picking what country I will have next season is all a game. Where do I think the rich clubs will have their scouts? That is where I need to avoid.
9) Have you ever taken advantage of a new manager and bought one of their best players for a fraction of the price?
I find new managers waste a lot of time. Not many are active straight away and some of those who are want to take time to find their best team. It is quicker to deal with people I know I can deal with easily and quickly.
10) If you could afford any player in the game, who would you buy and why?
If I could buy a person instead of a player it would be the Real Valladolid chairman or the assistant manager. That team is producing some top young players and any manager in the game would like that to happen at their own team.
