MOTFA?

Dear All

From the questionaire this week - managers are starting to let me know what they like and dont like from the MOTFA section

Can i have a bit of feedback on the following as some of it is quite time demanding and some momentum gets lost

How do people find the following?

1. Weekly Match round ups?
2. Weekly Match Previews?
3. General topics of conversation?
4. The new style questionaire thats been running the last few weeks?
5. Weekly Transfer round and Gossip column?

i think its fair to say that not all of them can be kept each week so just trying to get a feeling for what people have an interest in and what people dont?

cheers all and keep the cirticism clean lol :)

Hi

I must say that I dont contribute much to the MOTD columns, but I enjoy reading the match previews probably the most, followed by match roundups. The transfer round ups and goosip column are also interesting reads.

The questionnaires often give an insight into other managers thinking and therefore are quite good but it partly depends on how many responses are given by people. Sometimes I dont feel like I can give answers to all questions as I tend to concentrate on what is happening in my own league, and sometimes that puts me off contributing to questions when there are lots of them and they relate to matters which I havent kept tabs on eg good and bad transfers that have gone through.

Cheers JD Cardiff

I like all of them to be honest but I think id rather see less items and everything done on a more regualar basis. rather than more stuff and people struggling to get everything done and missing bits out every now and then.

Cheers for the replies lads

The main problem is lack of momentum (and im guilty of this myself as well). When an idea is new its more fun to do it and you think less about how long it takes you. You can see this week (no offence lads) that the match previews and games round ups havent been done - and i m,yself forgot the week before

so im up for the idea that there are less things to do - and we do these less things better and more regularly

keep the comments coming and so far im thinking of streamlining it to the following

1. match previews
2. match rounds ups
3. weekly "something" - be it foucs on one league, questionaire, or gossip

i will also shortly be posting about a new betting system myself and Rich will be sorting out soon :)

cheers

Simon

I don't think enough managers got involved in the general debates and that should be cut first if something has to go. I enjoy reading the previews and the write ups but they have stopped recently. That should stay because it helps other managers see what else is going on in fa

The transfer part is good and if you're short of time perhaps only release a questionnaire every fortnight

No worries Sparky - this wasnt a witchhunt fella - just a tidy up situation!

Stu has made some good points and ill be looking to resturcture things over the weekend

things i personally dont want to cut are the match reports, the match previews and the occasional general chat - so ill work around this as a basis

the betting structure i set up will also take more time - so perhaps ill be looking at reliable managers to jump in with certain bits and bobs

ill keep you all posted
