It is with a heavy heart that i announce my official application for the vacant managers position at Fiorentina. Although this has proved a very tough decision for me I feel that the time is right to advance my career and I prey for the Coventry board, and fans, understanding in such a move.

I love the club dearly, but see Fiorentina as the ideal opportunity to develop a title challenging team in one of the biggest leagues in Europe.

I would like to stress that I have complete aspirations of seeing this season through with Coventry City, and should my performance still warrant, be considered to lead Fiorentina out into season 4.

I am ready and willing to submit my plans to the chairmen and board, and am confident in my own ability to live up to the famous history of such an illustrious club.
