Manager of the Month Week 15 Results After voting was cast across the managers of the FA world we have the results of this months Manager of the month competition. In many cases the voting was very close, and congratulations to all involved. Remember, a new month has started already and we will be conducting the next vote at week 19. The Premiership 1st Iain Kochanowski (Man Utd); The voters were suitably impressed by Man Utds turn around this month as Iain Kochanowski guided his team to 5 wins out of 5 to dispel doubts over his tenure at Old Trafford. After a torrid start to the season it was a crucial run which puts Man Utd back in contention for a European spot. 2nd; Simon Newcombe (Arsenal), 3rd; Rest The Championship 1st Mark Rollings (Coventry City); Despite not being able to match Watfords maximum points return over the month Coventry manager Mark Rollings impressed enough to take this months vote. Impressive wins against Blackburn and West Brom have catapulted the Sky Blues up to an unlikely 2nd, much to the delight of their fans. It promises to be an exciting end to The Championship season with at least 5 teams fancying their chances of automatic promotion. 2rd; Jamie Walker (Watford) League One 1st Stephen Wells (Bristol City); Bristol City are continuing to confound pundits and fanatics alike and an impressive month has seen them move into contention for an automatic passage to The Championship. The Robins appear to have hit form at precisely the right time and will be hoping their manager can negotiate the final furlong and secure promotion. 2nd; Jamie Best (Wolves), 3rd; Kevin Hunter (Sheffield United) Serie A 1st Adam Goble (Roma); Adam did enough to keep hold of the manager of the month crown, despite being matched all the way by Steve Esdales Inter Milan. Roma have played some scintillating attacking football and will hope that key players can stay fit in what promises to be a tense run in. Special mention also goes to Steve Jenkins at Juventus, who has guided his team to 12 out of 14 points with some impressive results. 2nd; Steve Jenkins (Juventus), 3rd; Steve Esdale (Inter Milan) Serie B 1st Ross Walker (Sampdoria); Sampdoria have continued to illustrate their dominance in Serie B and will already be looking forward to life in the top division. Another maximum points haul this month was enough to comfortably secure another manager of the month crown for Ross Walker. 2nd; Glenn Whitter (Palermo), 3rd; Steve Davies-Evans (Cagliari) Spanish Primera 1st Stuart Price (Seville); Just how will Seville replace their manager when he departs for Cardiff City at the end of the season? The mercurial manager managed his troops to an untainted 5 wins out of 5 to maintain their 100% record in La Liga and move Seville in site of another league title. Fans at Ninian Park must be licking their lips at the prospect of Price plying his trade at The Bluebirds. 2nd; Simon Jenkins (Real Valladolid), 3rd; Paul Janyshiwskyj (Real Madrid) Spanish Segunda 1st Adam Tyrone-Davies (Deportivo); It has been a dream month for Deportivo as Tyrone-Davies has guided his team into the heart of the Segunda play-off places. A maximum points haul has seen them become one of the favourite to go up in the end of season lottery and if form persists few would bet against the Riazor club crowning their superb form with promotion. 2nd; Gareth Gardener (Celta Vigo), 3rd; Richard Jeffries (Real Zaragoza)
I just wanted to thank Mark for his excellent organisation of the manager of the month votes. The resume of each manager and what they had achieved and hte change in league position meant that we could all make an informed choice rather than just picking the best team in each league!!
And the write up on the results is also excellent.
thank you to all who voted for me and good luck to the rest who won manager of the month and thank you mark for a great manager of the month you put on, well done mark
