Sorry Ash - but the very reason the rule applies to ANY editing is that although you may well have been telling the truth (which in this case im sure you are) but there is no way to prove that
The message board doesnt keep track of what you said before the edit - so although the original bet is fine - in the second you could have bet your entire balance on something else and then cancelled it. There would be no way for myself (or Mark who totals up the bets) to know one way or the other
So im afraid for this week ill have to cancel all the bets and you can pick it up again next week
Sorry if that seems harsh - but it applies to everyone so should be fair - and the sooner people get used to NO editing then the smoother it will all be and this wont happen anymore
Thats the plan anyway - but you lot keep editing lol :(
Mark - when you run the totals next weekend - can you ignore all bets from Ash (Torino although you may have it down still as Cadiz on your lists) and he is free to bet again from next week
£300 on Everton beating Norwich @ 5/1 £500 on N.Forrest beating Fulham @ 9/1 £200 on A.Madrid beating Valencia @ 9/1 £700 on Chelsea beating Man City @ 1/7
£100,000 on Cardiff to win £100,000 on Cardiff to draw £100,000 on AC Milan to win £100,000 on AC Milan to draw £50,000 on A.Madrid to win £50,000 on A.Madrid to draw
That is always the risk with the betting and perhaps there should be a rule about not posting whether you are intending to rest players or not - that way it is simply luck of the bet as to whether it comes off or not.
Mind you - I can talk - I lost all my money in week 1 dammit - does betting split into the two leagues halfway through the season?
2x La Liga trophy // Sevilla 2x Spanish cup // Sevilla 1x Premiership trophy // Man City 2x English cup // Man City 2x European Cup // Man City 1x Segunda trophy // Valencia
Just informing you all there will be a bit of a delay in next weeks BTO
Mark will get the results up at some point tomorrow (monday) and the new odds for next week will go up on Tuesday evening as I have a minor back operation and wont be online till then
Its nothing too serious and should only be day surgery so hopefully nothing to worry about
cheers all

You typed too many 0's on your bet for Man City to win meaning you bet £50,000- it is clearly a typo especially with the comma but Pircey did the same thing last season and I am pretty sure his bets were voided
I will check with Simon when he is back online and if I'm wrong I will amend your total accordingly.
Cheers Mark

I think Pricey did have a similar thing but it still brings up the arguement of what a dull rule it is as the fact that there's a comma there means that he clearly bet £5,000!! Even if there was a million zeros after it, the comma is surely the most important thing?

I agree Steve it is a stupid rule - i don't make the rules I am afraid just follow them.
I am not sure how this came about in the first place - I think some other managers questioned Pricey post last season . its clear that there are no friends when it comes to BTO

Thing is, I totally agree that the rules are in place before you place the bet so therefor, you should take that extra few seconds to proof read it to make sure it's valid but I'm just not sure I agree with the rule itself.
I aint having a pop at anyone like Killer or Newcs though, you boys do a great job to be fair.
I accept the decision and yes I should have double / treble checked what I had typed just wandering why all the bets were void and not just that one as thats the bet I didn't have enough to cover... am not trying to drag this out as I said I accept the decision reluctantly lol

Im just being fair to everyone mate - all the bets are void as that was the original decision when it happened to Pricey - so for this season that decision has to apply across the board
And to be fair - I dont really want the job of having to apply a load of different rules which govern what bets are cancelled and what arent. Why should some bets remain valid when the overall betting total is exceeded? You see what im getting at - frankly its easier if the total balance is exceeded to void all bets
Pricey
Think we can forgive editing in that particuar week once betting is closed :)
