Good idea - as most people know by now - I quite like to talk balls from time to time......... :)

To kick things off

1. If you could sign one player in FA for free who would it be?
2. If you could ask Rich one thing about the game he isnt allowed to tell you, what would it be?

And Ash, if you think you know how the results are done, surely you can start winning games!

1. I would sign whoever had the highest value in the game for free because then I could sell him on for double value the following week and buy in several very good players instead of one excellent one.

2. I would ask whether there is an element of random in the match results and if so, how strong is it? There must be some sort of randomness to the game or else there would be no upsets...

And Ash - I watched the first half and the first 3 goals - how did it end up? For me I thought they were a bit unlucky to be 3-0 down (not that im complaining!) - we were ruthless infront of goal - it was nice to see!

Ended 3-3, That Berg had another two, when to penaltys after extra time, James Milner took penalty for England and done exactly same as David Beckham, England won 5-4 on penaltys, Agbonlahor, Campbell and Heart will miss final, Gutting!

yeah I had a text last night saying that she has taken it off for good. She put it downto Priceys general attitude and the fact that he never said thank you for his winnings previously so blame who you like lol

I was an "outsider looking in" if you like - but for me - it seemed she was a nice girl that perhaps confused donations with subscriptions and aggravated a few people

Life is too short chaps and I hope she gets better soon

Newcs, I can assure you that she knew what she was doing. She purpously wanted to cheese people off so that they would go! She resented alot of things to do with the info thread and alot of the people that used it so she locked it etc in a hope that they would go. I think she was surprised that a couple of them then went on to donate. She's 48 years old so she's got her witts about her, she's just ill at the moment and cant find the energy to run the board!

Also, a large portion of the people on there very rarely used the other parts of the board like yourself, Jop, Killer, Pricey (rarely), GG (rarely). Even though thats nly a handful....she was cheesed off that a couple openly admitted that they only used the board for Info!

Steve if you only knew how much work i put in for her you'd be shocked and wd showed how much i posted in other parts tbh didn't he.

Also if you knew what she really thought of people on there that would also shock you have got it saved from msn convos

I think she was more pissed off about the total non posters in the other threads. I'd also say that I fair idea how she felt about EVERY person on that board, I have had a couple of very lengthy phone conversations with her and I would say that I can see why the board has gone. A case of the minority of the "alpha males" spoiling it for the rest of the board. Her illness certainly didnt help things either mind

Keep in this mind THIS IS NOT a personal attack on her (I dont know the girl and am not too bothered either way - im sure shes nice) but doesnt that seem a bit childish for a 48 year old women?

Why not just be upfront about it and say non cardiff fans, or users who dont use the whole board arent welcome?

If she had said that - there would be no backlash from anyone? Well less backlash anyway - you cant please everyone and people do like to moan lol

Firstly this was set up as a replacement, not really to create a forum to talk about the other one shutting. But as we're on that point, I don't want people bad mouthing her. She put effort into running it fair play.

But to answer you Simon (N), she couldn't make it a Cardiff only website, because it was simply a chat board to begin with with all her (non Cardiff) friends on. She just generously took on all the Cardiff fans when the official board closed a year or 2 ago. Which kind of makes me not understand her objections really.

If you've noticed, she's cleared the membership list. Sad times.

But more looking forwards now. I can confirm there is a slight random element to FA as it wouldn't be football otherwise. The level of this though varies depending on things like the weather and tactics etc. Obviously can't go into more details.

Does anyone on here have Setanta? I havent heard much about it since they went into administration - but noticed they charge my credit card the morning before they went bust lol - there finance department still works obviously :)

It had been taken off the air - but when I switch to it now - you seem to get a feed from ESPN - so ive been watching baseball and some ice hockey the last couple of days - been pretty good actually! Also got reruns of the NBA finals which were good to watch

Newcs - To clarify mate, I never thought you were making a personal attack etc. Also, I've said all along that I truly believe that her reasons (some of which are personal), I totally agree with but I think she could have gone about it ALOT better!!

As for Setanta, doesn't surprise me as they are on their arse!!! I'm hoping that as James Richardson will be out of work, they bring back the Guardian Podcasts throughout the summer as they are genius and Barry Glendenning is a god! Anyone else listen to them?
