The most recent speculation that Daniel Morrison no longer wishes me to manage the playing staff is the last straw. In anticipation of being sacked I will leave. It has not been a happy or a pleasant time at Fulham.
This has nothing to do with the staff or the players. I have always been treated well and I think I have given the job 100%. At times I nearly put on my boots and played myself.
I joined a club in crisis and it just got worse. I will not take all the blame for dropping to our current league postion. Some of the circumstances were totally out of my control. I was new to football management when the job offer came from Fulham in the Premiership. I must admit to being blinded by the prospect. It was a mistake and I am sure I will make other bad decisions in the future.
I have considered leaving football management altogether but my immediate plan is to sit back and reflect on what went wrong and prepare for a possible new opportunity.
To be fair mate, You've had some dreadful luck at Fulham. You definatley deserve a break now, you're a good manager so I hope you get an offer to match your talents fella!
If you are to leave League 1, it will be worse off without you!
