I would like to officially apply for the vacant managers position at Blackburn Rovers. I believe that I have what it takes to do the work that is needed at Ewood Park. There is no question that due to the age of the current squad, they will soon need a massive overhaul and I believe that during my 5 seasons with FA, I have had to re-build many teams from scratch with very little to no money. Although I wasn't in charge at the end of the Sheffield Wednesday promotion season, I still built that team that was capeable and indeed did achieve promotion in the end.
I have worked very hard since joining Nottm Forest and I believe that although their is a core of loan players there, the squad overall is a huge amount better than the squad that I inherrited and they would still be in a much better position than when I arrived. I feel I have a much better idea regarding how to get teams playing and what formations and tactics are needed and although I have no top flight experience, I believe that I do have enough game experience to put it into place and do a great job at Blackburn.
Although I do not believe that just because I am a Blackburn Rovers fan, that should get me the job, I do believe that it would make sure that everything I would do at the club, I would always have the clubs best interests at heart. I also believe that as I am on very low wages, It wouldn't be too much of a risk for the Blackburn board to appoint me and is a win, win situation for them.
I would like to appolagise to the Nottm Forest board and fans for this application and I have loved every minute of my time at the club and if this application ends up with me in hot water then that is a decision I will have to live with.
Another job ? Youv had as many clubs as Jay Bothroyd ! Seriuosly tho. You have done well at Forest. Good luck in this job application. I think you have a great chance
For my money - although Steve has had his ups and downs at various clubs - he has shown his colours at Forest and massively over achieved considering the dire straits they were in when he joined
Steves set of skills, and track record in this regard - seem a very good fit for the situation Blackburn find themselves in - and I hope this fit is reflected in his succesful application to them
Best of luck Steve, I think you have earnt your chance from your willingness to firstly take, and then ability to achieve at Forest and deserve your chance.
P.S. I want a Blackburn player so lets talk when you get it!!! lol
I completely back Steve's application for the Blackburn post.
I see him ideal to revamp an ageing squad. I have dealt with Steve once but I assure everyone that he is persistant in trying to negotiate deals even when he has no money. This is a quality that would benefit Blackburn Rovers FC greatly, especially as they are heading into administration.
Steve has done well at Forest with no money and I think these skills along with his success at Forest and little wages would make him perfect for a free-falling Premiership club like Blackburn where he would surely do what he does best.
