Gianlucca Vialli catches an exclusive interview with the Chievo Manager Ray Farnell and his Chairman Federici Yarna after the clubs play off loss to Ascoli.
Ray, how are you feeling after tonight? What can I say, another play off final and another loss, arguably against the best side in the league. I find myself with a big proud heart tonight, we did what we could and the lads gave me there all.
I see you arm in arm with your Chairman and you both look happy despite the loss? Why would we not be happy!, we are a family club with great values, we have come a long way in a short time together, Mr Yarna, the players and I are a tight unit. This should not be a sad time despite the clubs target (oh and I have already apologised to Federici for putting the club through another play off saga!)
Any words on Ascoli? What can I say, Jonny and I did have a bit of banter before the game and I did get him going at one point (Farnell laughs) but I have the upmost respect for him and his side, he has a good squad, Ascoli look far better equipped to deal with Seria A this time around and I will be keeping an eye out for the Ascoli results.
Any closing comments Ray? Yes, I have to say thanks to Simon at Valloldolid and Adam at Barcelona, they have been very helpful to Chievo, myself and Mr Yarna appreciate your help and I hope we have helped your boys in the process and we look forward to any future dealings.
