Way back when in the old FA - my first job was your old club (Boro) and although my memory is rusty these days - I think you were the first manager I ever did a transfer deal for? Cant remember who that was - but remember buying Jari Litmanen off you the following season in our promotion year :)

Sadly that was the last set of games in the old FA - but cant complain too much as New FA was just round the corner

And it never hurts to beat a much more fancied Liverpool side in the playoffs.............!

Thanks for that. Yes I was at Boro and could well have been the first manager you dealt with. I know that in the early days we spoke quite a bit about things.

Litmanen does ring a bell think he was a good player on the game back then.
