Middlesbrough have their penalty saved & then somehow "edge it tonight" without Villa taking a 6th penalty?!
So apparently, Villa save a penalty which means they lose the shoot-out!!!

Looks like another year in the championship for me then unless I did win the penalty shootout but not holding out much hope.

Well according to Final Score, you didn't win it but Middlesbrough took 6 penalties and scored 4... Aston Villa took 5 penalties and also scored 4?!
Now according to my mathematics, neither team won it but Aston Villa are looking favourite! I may have only got a grade E for A-Level Maths, but you don't need A-Levels to work that one out confuse

If you go to "English Results" it shows it more clearly

Boro took 6 pens - scoring 5
Villa took 6 pens - scoring 4

Hence, Boro go through 5-4 as Villa missed in the first sudden death round of pens

Yeah I think final score was a bit glitchy that night and the lines of text were a bit screwed when I was watching so it looked like Villa ran out of pens early lol
