Breakdown is reduced as we barely played any games - you prizes are 10% of the total original prize (technically it should be 1/12th but Rich was feeling generous today!!)
Anyone who would like to pick up the reigns please send me an email (simonnewcombe@googlemail.com) and I can walk you through the odds generator, databases and format
Cheers and apologies for the lack of BTO this season - just couldn't find the time to do it each week which was a shame as we have had some laughs over the years :)
Thanks to all those that played
Simon

Totally wrong in my view. If you state prizes at the start then thats what it should be. Its just taking away money from the smaller clubs again just because the organiser had different issues going on in is life. It should have either been passed to someone else or just scrapped completely. Not giving out measily prizes as shown
Frankly your logic scares the crap out of me - apparently trying to give people rewards is taking money away from the "small clubs" when two of the winners are "small clubs".......
Personally I would imagine any sane person would agree that having only played 2 weeks worth - it was unfair on most other teams to hand out big prizes - but viewpoints are subjective I suppose
You make a stern argument about what should happen - yet I dont see an email from you offering to take it over? :)
Feel free to donate your "measily prize" to a charity then GG, I'm sure Ray will accept it to help pay his magicians wages.
Everyone also knew Simon's situation about 4 months ago, you could have offered to take it on if you felt strongly about it. I think slashed prizes (as its a side game) were fairly obvious... although I'd suggest its the fact you finished top, not the fact you think its the wrong decision, that you're moaning.
Simon, the logic behind the taking money from the smaller clubs is Boro would have been expecting a 3 mill payout not a 0.3 mill which is really taking 2.7 mill out of the club. Same goes for Ray who is losing 1.8 mill. When prizes are set, thats what should have been given out, no matter if it was 1 game or 20 ! I cant see anywhere in your rules that states that prizes go down due to the amount of games played. As for taking on the game, i didnt offer due to limited internet access but im sure you had offers from Killer and Pricey to take the reigns of the game at some stages throughout the season. And Rich, of course its cos i finished top that im moaning i wouldnt really give a damn if i lost, hence why other managers isnt really that cheesed off about it.
Iv made my point and thats as far as it will go. Its also the reason why im not joining any other side games due to rules being changed come the end to suit others.
To be honest GG I think you will be the only one who has this view, everybody else seems to have accepted it as Rich has posted, its no different to something that happens in sport. For example in Formula 1 last season one of the races was run over a majority of the laps behind a safety car and because of this the points were halved due to the actual racing time being largely reduced, same as the gameplay being reduced here.
Let's be fair nobody has lost money either, the money wasn't in their accounts to begin with so this added 0.1/0.2mil has still been gained. I think you would have more complaints, if Rich had paid out the full prize money, from people who finished outside the prizes because they never had a chance to boost their points total up.

Only wanted to make my point cos i thought it was wrong. Just a personal oppinion. Iv accepted the fact that a decision has been made. Hopefully se the 0.3 mill for the training camps now
I didn't offer to take over - as I didn't really have the time. I would be willing to take over this season if people still wanted to play although I would operate a strict no moaning rule. Anyone who moans would lose half there monies which would be credited to my own balance -

As said I would be willing to take it over this season but only if there is enough interest. I am away for a bit shortly so would be looking at picking it up on my return, maybe get up and running for week 4 games.
What do people think, do you want another season of BTO as well as the prediction league or would you rather just the prediction league. If enough people want BTO I will get speak to Simon about carrying it on.

I would be more than happy to take part in another season of BTO.
Really enjoyed it and actually prefer it to the prediction league.
In reference to the prizes for last years BTO prizes the winning managers are luck to get any prize money at all because if it had been my decision then prizes would not have been handed out due to the low number of weeks which BTO was running last season. Also remember its only a side game so don't get to stressed about it !!!!
1 thing i would like to say is Thankyou to Simon for running this game. I have enjoyed it a lot over the past few seasons and understand how much time you did actually put into it. Sorry if you took offence to my whinge, i should learn to maybe cool my gob down a bit :)
Isnt the new prediction league pretty much the same as BTO? So given that is running for hte new season there is no need for TBO to be taken over because technically its been replaced already?
Beat the odds was a betting game.Gambling on predictions and working out how much to gamble Prediction league is totally different really where you predict the scores and get points for correct guesses
