I would like to officially apply for the vacant managers post at Everton FC. I believe that in order to build on the good work done by Mark Rollings, Everton will need a manager that is shrewd in the transfer market, passionate about the club ready to settle down with them and make it a long term job rather than a stepping stone to pastures new. I am ultra confident that I possess those traits in spades and will be able to move the club forward in the right direction and get them back amoungst the elite of the football world again.
I have full faith in my ability to work within the current transfer market and help bring in the sort of match winners that will propell Everton back toward the top. I already have one or two ideas of how this great club can go forward with myself at the helm and I would love the oppertunity to put those ideas to use. There is no questioning my passion for the club, as I am a former season ticket holder at Goodison Park and still a proud "Toffee" today. Although being a fan shouldn't guarantee you the position, I firmly believe that like Luke at Cardiff, I can use my pasison to make sure that the club is in the hands of a fan and not just a job-hopper.
I have had a few good seasons now in FA and although I have enjoyed managing in the lower leagues, I believe that it's time for me to prove my worth at the next level. I believe my commitment to the game deserves to be rewarded with a job of this caliber and I can guarantee that I will do everything possible to move this club on. There is no question that Mark[Rollings] did a good job with them but now is the time to keep that good work going an not allow this team to plumit towards the lower leagues like in previous years. I would wholeheartedly apply myself as much as possible if successful and I hope that the Everton board take my application very seriously.
To the board and fans of Ascoli, it is with heavy heart that I make this application with the intent of leaving the club. I hope the club on whole realise that this is the only job that would tempt me away at this time. Infact, It was only a couple of weeks ago that I turned down a job to manage West Brom in the Premiership. However, since then the Everton job has become available and I feel that it is now my time to apply. If I am unsuccessful with Everton then I am more than happy to stay on and finish what I have started. I am not desperate to leave Ascoli but ask the fans to understand that this is the club that I support and would love to manage.
Good luck bro! I think you definately deserve a shot at it. You have the transfer skills needed there and you have been in the game long enough to have a go at a level higher than the bottom leagues in the game.
Good luck mate, you have my backing - brother or not.
All the best Dave. Its always nice to see a manager go to a club they support. Makes it that little bit special. I got a funny feeling that Fletch maybe applying for this as-well though
