VACANT MANAGERS POSITION

I would like to announce my official application for the vacant managers position at Roma.

The decision to apply for this post has been a hard one having been with Chievo for several seasons.

We have enjoyed a roller coaster ride in my tenure enjoying promotion, relegation and play off heart break. I thank the club for giving me the chance to cut my teeth in management.

Roma are a club that should be challenging in the higher echelons of world football and given the chance I feel I could carry on the the good work carried out under the previous regime.

The long term goal would be to challenge for the top honours across the board.

I would like to stress that should my application not be successful I am more than happy to carry out my current position (and the job i hold dearly) as the Chievo supremo.

I would also like to apply for the Roma position.

I feel I am the ideal candidate because since joining Reggina I have taken them to a playoff final in the first season in charge and then got them promoted as champions the second season.

I have built a squad capable of staying the league and also built for the future with good talented youngsters, which I will install at Roma.

With a mix of passion, attacking football and youth I can take Roma to back where they belong.

I am loved by the fans and chairman at Reggina and love it at the club but feel I have not been rewarded since promotion, I have not been offered a wage increase or money to spend.

Paul H is right,,,,real tough call on who gets this.

Jop is a good lad whos done a good job but my money is on Roger for his fine stint at Chievo when most would have walked away a long time ago.
