La Liga: Managers FA Manager of the Season

Candidates

Simon Jenkins - Real Valladolid finished the season as champions of La Liga and completed the Spanish double winning the Spanish Cup. They could make it a treble season if they can manage to beat Juventus in this weeks European Cup final, which would make it the clubs most successful season ever and would be a climax to the managers long spell in charge having guided them off the foot of the Spanish Segunda in his first season.

Adam Goble - Barcelona looked to be in a real scrap for 3rd heading into the run in this season and their manager was under severe pressure. A run of 13 without loss, and 7 wins on the bounce was enough to see off a stuttering Sevilla side to claim 2nd place, just a point behind top. They reached the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup and the semi-finals of the European Cup.

Jonnie Adams - Athletic Bilbao were only promoted into the league at the end of last season and in what could be considered the strongest league in terms of depth right now, they have surpassed all expectations finishing 5th. Whether they can match the "local club to European giants" tale Real Valladolid managed to do is asking a lot but wins over some of the biggest teams in Spain this season have made many take note. They also reached the Spanish Cup semi-finals.
