Bidding Rules on teams in administration

If a team enters administration managers can post in here their bids on the players. Like the scouting system this is a public auction for players.

How to bid

If there are no bids yet on the player you want, start a new thread Subject: (Players Name) then post your team and the amount you want to bid.

If there is already a thread with bids in, you can post in there. The offer will either have to better previous cash offers, or better previous swap deals.

How bids are accepted

Often administration clubs can pick and choose which players are sold. In the first few weeks of administration the players with the highest cash offers are usually sold. In the later weeks when the debt is much smaller the players least useful to the club are sold off to avoid more top players being sold for low amounts than is absolutely necessary.

This means you may be top bidder in a thread for one player, but this doesn't guarentee you'll get this player. The administation club has to accept it still.

Bids will be accepted by FA posting in the relevent threads on Thursday or Friday usually unless otherwise necessary. Managers will be expected to put that deal through that Friday, unless they otherwise stated in their bid that it was for a different week (which may cost them the player if a similar offer is made for a sooner week). Any deal must be put through on the managers team sheet as per normal transfer rules.

After a few weeks if a deadline is reached one week with no bids coming in at all for any of the players, unmanaged teams will be able to sign from the team in administration.

Managers are asked not to make bids they then change or edit. Editing posts could result in your bids being void. This damages my planning for getting the club out of debt, and it also damages other teams who might look at a player but not bid because of your bid, use the money elsewhere, then not have the funds anymore when you decide to pull out. If you do this, your other bids won't be viewed favourably.

Richard.
