Season 9 Youth Tournament

This thread is for publishing your bid to host the tournament, to submit a bid post it below and any submitted before the end of Thursday 9th June will be considered.

Feel free to publish a piece of media in the Media section to announce your bid being submitted, as well as posting the bid itself here.

The bid should include written information on the following:

- Why should your stadium and facilities be used?

- What commitments have you/your club made to youth development?

- What effect will hosting the tournament have on future development of young players at your club?

- Final Comments: Anything not fitting the above 3 areas that may swing the decision in your favour.

The rewards for hosting the tournament in season 8 are as follows:

- £1 million donation to your club funds by FA.

- £1 million to your club funds through revenue from increased fan and corporate income.

The decision will be based on the answers to the above sections, and the quality of your facilities. You do not need a youth team playing in the tournament to host it but must be able to demonstrate good answers to the above sections in your bid proposal.

Richard.

Aston Villa would be both honoured and proud to host this season youth tournament if chosen.

After winning last seasons youth tournment we feel that Villa Park would be a excellent ground to host this season tournament.

We currently have in my opinion the best youth facilities to help improve our younger players and this was shown with last seasons domination in the youth tournament. I also feel that hosting the tournament would further benefit my youth players and create a legacy at Villa Park for years to come.

We are extremly committed to youth development and believe it is much better to promote english talent within rather an deal in the transfer market.

My final comment would be that in our current senior team we have many young players and this shows our continued commitment and dedication to youth development . Also Villa Park is use to hosting big events with many a fa cup semi final being staged here.

Dear FA Youth Committee

Crystal Palace FC would like to put themselves forward as the location for this seasons youth competition. We are a humble small club playing in the lowest league in
England but we believe that our ambition and commitment to youth is of the highest measure and the success of the Napoli based tournament last season gives us hope against much bigger established clubs.

CrystalPalace is a historically important team playing in a low division but from the moment I applied to the board here I knew this job would be about building a team from nothing. I joined at a time CrystalPalace were a team with no resources or big name players, a small stadium and a very poor record in the league. I would like to believe that it was my determination to build better facilities and develop the youth side of the club that got me the job against other candidates who were just promising success.

Crystal Palace FC is currently made up of a squad of 15 players training at the clubs Beckenham based training ground and the average age of those players is just 21. I have committed the club to producing more youth than we needed to help raise funds in the future and even though this is a slow process I have remained focused. Proof of this are the 7 players out on loan in
England and abroad. The average age of these 7 players is just 19 and all of them are playing first team football. 19 is also the average age of my starting 11 in the group of players still with me at the club this season.

We have been approached by European and league champions about signing our young talents but the stable financial position I have managed to achieve here with no backing at all has helped me to reject these because I have been able to find first team football for up to 19 of my players at a time using loans out. If we had more money a youth academy would be on the agenda but I would have to sell a young player to raise that money and I'm not prepared to compromise my faith in the young players here. Should Crystal Palace FC be awarded the tournament the funds raised would go towards investing in an academy.

SelhurstPark holds up to 14,000 fans. This might not be a large stadium but we nearly sell out every week in the lowest league in England and this shows how supportive the local football fans have been towards what I've been doing here. The atmosphere that a full 14,000 stadium would create would be much better for the tournament than a 30,000 stadium with many empty seats.

Cardiff City would feel privileged to hold the youth tournament in South Wales as a club we have always been keen on bringing through young players. As a manager I have brought through some of the very best players in Europe during my time at Manchester City, AC Milan and now at Cardiff.

If chosen to host the tournament I will also be doing an open question session with other managers to discuss the pros and cons of youth and my insight on how it has effect any progress at my previous and current clubs.

In previous years Cardiff have brought through some of Europes top talent in Adam Matthews and Aaron Ramsey, sadly due to financial restrictions at the time these players had to move on. This is the reason upon my arrival I put in place a five year plan to improve the infrastructure of the club which we hope means that no players in the future coming through will need to leave the club for financial reasons.
We are very proud of the infrastructure we have implemented at the club in the last two seasons. We can boast of an impressive stadium which is currently one of the largest in Football Academy together with a Medium sized club shop. This season we also invested in a youth Academy and hope to expand this rapidly over the next few seasons.

Cardiff Citys aim over the last two years has been to make sure we can make a profit season after season to continually improve the club. We believe that income received each season can allow us to built up an academy of the highest standard and to also fund the said academy and to bring these young players through the ranks. In our opinion this was the correct way to have a quality youth team and academy and the only way to keep it going over many seasons. Filling our squad full of younger players could have been an option however we believe this would have been short term and not helpful to the players coming through or the club it its progression. We hope the plans in place will mean we can have a conveyor belt of young players pushing the senior squad every season.

With the correct ticket pricing we believe that we can fill out the stadium and the bonus or having a medium sized shop would mean extra income for the organisers.
Plans are already in place to increase the academy for next season and potential money received from hosting the tournament would go to further improving the infrastructure of the club to allow the academy to flourish.

It said in the Weekender to put it in the media, so I put mine in the media lol:

Real Valladolid: Youth Tournament Bid:

A large amount of money has been put into the Valladolid stadium over the several seasons to make it one of the largest in the world. Once the stadium reached it's maximum size a couple of seasons ago, money has begun to be put into other facilities such as the club shop and youth academy, with around £20 million being spread across the two this season alone. Also with the growing possibility of Valladolid moving to a new site, it would seem respectful to host the youth tournament at the current site as a farewell.

Valladolid have a history and a reputation for producing some of the finest talent around such as Jesus, Sergio and Victor and has recently begun to attract foreign youth such as Benzema and Collison because it's widely known that youth prosper here. Just look around the leagues and you'll see RV-grown talent almost everywhere. Whilst the money and prestige that will come with hosting the youth tournament will further our development of various facilities as laid out in the plans to expand the Valladolid youth academy to its maximum in the next 3 seasons.

Having based a club on its youth capabilities and closely but disappointingly missing out last season, it seems only right that Valladolid be granted the honour of hosting the tournament
