Kenny Nicholson - Deportivo were tipped for a top 6 finish but ended up an impressive 19 points clear of 3rd place setting a club record 18 game win streak to see out the season. In the Cup Deportivo surprised many by reaching the semi-finals before losing to Athletic Bilbao.
William Davies - Almeria were another team tipped for the middle of the play-offs but finished 10 points clear of 3rd. In the Cup they reached Round 3 before losing to Spanish giants Barcelona.
Carl Robson - Getafe were tipped for the play-offs and managed it despite facing more experienced led team. They took uncertain form into the play-offs but beat hotly tipped Celta Vigo in the final to earn promotion. In the Cup they only reached Round 2 though losing to Cadiz.
