I am planning to begin the process of re-making a club website for Everton, like we had in the original FA, ready for the first round of games.
It would be great if managers could do this again as it does provide more detailed stats and information.
Just remember when you make your site to make it clear that it is for a GAME only and is not real life - I did this last time but still recieved well over 30 e-mails from Nigerians wanting to move to England and 'play for my fantastic academy'!
I'll make links available on the team sheets for managers who want to run these. Just be aware of the data you include as some data might need updating each week to keep it up to date, otherwise it doesn't help managers particularly. Looking forward to seeing them
Can everyone check on their team sites please. Certainly Wolves have got theirs up to date with week 13s results uploaded (well done) but various others are a week or two behind. Obviously any further behind and the transfer/news information becomes very out of date and could mislead managers browsing them.
For those who have a news section on the webpage, any news you put up might be used in the media without you necessarily having to send it in. Thanks.
Currently theres a reward for Website of the Season which will be polled come the end of the season. However only teams who have attempted to keep up to date are eligable for this and if I notice one is a long way out of date for too long, they won't be included in the poll.
If there was to be a payment for every club running a website, then they'd have to have at least a weekly updated results page, plus a weekly updated news page (ie. media pieces) as I'm aware some sites have more weekly updates than others.
It would be down to managers to decide if any further sites should be allowed into the poll. Personally I'd say only those who have been running for at least half a season, and we're past the half way stage.
You'll get there Luke. Mine was rubbish for the first couple of weeks and then I really got into updating it etc. I update it everyweek now. I'm not sure if anyone actually goes on there or not and I wasn't actually aware of the rewards etc until 2 seconds ago when I read this thred.
I'm going to start adding my media onto it now too so that if it doesn't get up onto the main board then It is on my Leicester site for all to see. Plus - There might be things said on my site that I might not post on the main one lol
Mine is up to date now with results transfer information and squad listings

I agree with what Steve said about them not necessarily being looked at often but i find it quite enjoyable running a little website and keeping it updated, especially when there is a reward for doing so. And like Steve i have tried to keep any transfer news exclusive to the site so that managers benefit from viewing it! Good to see everyone is updated their sites!

I normally go on the other sites when I have finnished doing mine every week. I think there is a couple that are superb - Stu @ Sevilla for one and I think that he must be leading the race at the moment. I', like Jamie though - I do it coz it's a good laugh and I never knew there was a prize anyway so good luck on whoever gets it but I'll be updating mine the same as normal.
Just a reminder to managers that the end of the season is coming up and the club website poll will be set up shortly for website of the season. Having done one of my random checks on teams with media sections on their pages (I know this isn't all of you) I noticed theres a few who haven't updated recently. Maybe nothing has happened at your club in the last month but I thought I'd let everyone know.
If you want to make sure all your website media goes on the FA Media page, email it in to me when you post it on your site, otherwise only when I do random checks will I take the most recent piece of media for the FA site. Well done to Cagliari in particular who don't email in media but regularly put media on their site.
I wasn't saying they're the only team doing it. There are some others as well as you who update and email in, but as Cagliari only update their own their activity in the media department could go unnoticed if you didn't check their site each week.
the Recreativo site has finally been brought up to date with Season 2 information. I wont add media pieces on there though as I send these into FA for use on the Media page.
thanks
