I thought we were in need of a lighter hearted thread so here it is. As some of the managers from the old version can probably testify to, the title of this game leads to some rather odd emails.
There seem to be a lot of Nigerian youngsters who think for some reason, Football Academy is an actual academy with links to all real clubs. I've had numerous Nigerians asking to join an Academy and I know some managers have been contacted to see if they can join 'their team'. I've even had an offer from a Nigerian Academy to link up and help them ship their youngsters into Europe!!
I just wondered how many had recieved these kind offers, and if anyone was polite enough to try and point out, how I tried, it wasn't real...

When i managed Hertha Berlin in the old fa game i had a team web page, i had loads of offers from so called good Nigerians wanting a trial at Berlin at first i just i replied to them saying it was just a online manager game..but i couldnt resist telling a few to come over for a trial i even sent them the address and contact detalis..i wonder if any of them ever went ? you never know one or two of them might of made it ?
That would be some claim to fame. You could be the middle man for the next Ronaldo appearing in Berlin! I told all of mine it was only a game but I felt sorry for them like I was ruining their dreams
