If it would be possible, I would like to see a rating/feedback system based on managers transfer dealings, kind of like e-bay. So as it stands mine should be 100% as I have not had a failed transfer, however if there are managers who have pulled out of deals last minute causing a failed transfer they would have a few negatives. This would then:
1. Stop Managers pulling out of transfers
2. Give other managers an idea of what kind of manager they are dealing with.
This is kind of done already (albeit briefly) with the completed transfers section that Richard compiles isnt it?
It soon becomes clear if the same names keep cropping up, and the good managers (JD at Chievo and Chris at Madrid spring to mind) often come out in the media pages and explain any delays anyway
True, but I thought it would be quicker for a manager to notice if some has a figure( e.g. 1-100) by their name to represent how trustworthy they are in the market.
So if I had a player for sale and two managers wanted him and these were the offers:
Safehands Arsenal offered 6m Transfer Rating 98/100 Chris Madrid offered 6m Transfer Rating 40/100
Have to sort out what makes deductions to ratings etc and how we dont punish honest mistakes etc
it might also take up a lot of time for Richard - who seemed to be streamlining time with the new engine as the old game was getting demanding on him - so have to work out a workable, easy to setup system for everybody - but im not against the idea
and i still think that most managers have an idea already who is good and bad without the need for a official rating - i know i do!
This sort of thing was suggested before in the old game and the Completed Transfers section was introduced as this takes up fairly little time for me, and allows you all to see failed deals and give reasons why they failed if it was your team. If people can come up with a fair, easy to use system for this I'm happy to include it, but like has been said above, how would it deal with misunerstandings, ie. What if you agree to put a deal through next week, but the other manager puts it through a week early? Surely thats not your fault but it would show up as you not putting it through.
Richard wouldnt it work if you did it yourself manualy,it means that well u get all the tranfers coming through to you and it means you can decide what was a good and bad transfer,as theres only a few transfers a week im sure it wouldnt take much time but well like what was said ,if it was like rated 1-100 how would you no how much to deduct if a deal didnt go through ,would it be a point every bad transaction or would it be like a few depending how badly the other manager was after pulling out of the deal, any suggestions?
There are times when every manager will simply forget to put a deal through, I was guilty of it in the old game as were other managers. If this happens, I always make sure i send the other manager a Pm or e-mail apologising and giving my reasons.
I think therefore that a new section of the message board should be created where managers post if another manager didnt put their part of the deal through and didnt explain why. After all, it is not Richard's concern if we don't get the player we wanted - its ours.
By reading through this, managers could decide for themselves whether it is worthwhile negotiating with certain managers (managers could also comment if they send regular e-mails to managers offering for players and dont get replies).
Anyone agree?
