Arsenal 7 Slavia Prague 0

smilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmile

just had to post here. that was the one of the most breathtaking performaces ive ever seen. It honestly could have been more (the Prague keeper had a great save to deny Walcott his hattrick and Rosicky hit the post)

Walcott,Hleb, Fabregas, Sagna, Toure, Adebayor, Eboue, Flamini (and Gilberto, Rosicky and Bertnder when they came on) were honest to god 10/10 performances and the rest of the team were only just under that! Absolutely amazing team performance - almost perfect in every way

It wasent as if Prague were that bad - Almunia had to be alert with 3 good saves - one of them an excellent stop.

It was just technically, and movement wise - exceptional football in every way. As an arsenal fan for over 20 years im often spoilt by good looking football - but that was something else

Right up there with two fantastic performances against Real Madrid a while ago - and the 5-1 away win over Inter. God damn its a good night to support the Gunners!!!

ps Congratulations to Man U as well, and a good result for Rangers too

cheers

Sim already knows what I think of last nights game but for anyone else - I thought that Arsenal gave the world a lesson in how to play football last night. I've already woken up to the nob 'eads that are saying "It was only Slavia"! Those so called "Experts" need to wake up and realise that there is not a football team in the world that would have beaten Arsenal on the form they were in last night.

I'm not an Arsenal fan by any stretch but I really enjoyed watching them last night and frightening thing as a Cardiff and Balckburn fan is that they are all so bloody young! They could go on like this for the next 10 years. We will see how good they are and how much Title ambition they have got over the next 3 games but if they play like even half they did last night - I think they'll win all 3!

Have to say, well done to the Gunners! No game in the Champions League is going to be an easy game, as every team in the competition are the best teams in their respective domestic leagues.

Have to say aswell, im well chuffed with the way my team (Man United) performed last night, even though at times they looked a bit dodgy at the back. Excellent performance from Anderson, thought he was the best player on the park!!

Also though Ronaldo and Rooney played well, and Tevez run himself into the ground (yet again!!) Well done lads!!

Cheers

Didnt see any of the Arsenal game but to win 7-0 in Europe is something special.

Seen some of man-u and they are also looking sharp, Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo are getting better and better together although they gave away poor goals unlike them.

I watched the highlights from the Arsenal game and i must say i thought they were outstanding, especially Hleb, he created so much and had a part in about 4 of the goals. As a Man Utd fan, i am worried that if they carry these performances into the Premiership, they'll be untouchable.

The closest i have seen a team perform like that in Europe was when Man Utd beat Roma 7-1 last year.

Also congrats to Rangers, great result.

I think Hleb is too unpredictable in matches. he can be great and they he can be very average for no reason. is Cesc the best midfielder in the premiers league? i think he could be!!!!!
I can see it being a race between Arsenal and United this season for the league. Chelsea look a shadow of the team they were two years ago. I think MCity could get a champions league place this season because they have really impresse me. Sven might not have any passion but he has always made fantastic signings for his clubs.

Agree with almost all of that Mr Napoli!

Hleb used to be exactly as described - inconsistent. But this season he has been exceptional and everytime he has played this season ive been impressed. He has been my man of the match the last 3 games in a row too!

Fairplay to him as he has worked on his faults and looks the better player for it

Agree on Man City too - Elano stands out as a fantastic player - but been impressed with Petrov too, and the lad Johnson looks tidy in midfield. Add a good crop of youhng keepers and Mr Richards in defence - and you have the shell of a damn good team. Unlucky with injuries with strikers too

cheers

ps of course Fabregas is the best Midfielder in the premiership! I honestly can think of anyone id swap fim for or is better than him
