Doyle was part of my Nolan bid. If you add the deals together it is Doyle plus Nolan for Belletti plus Voltz plus Poulsen plus £0.5m. The money mostly cancels out because you can't do a 3 for 2 swap and the money I offered wasn't enough to break Doyle off the deal

32.6m worth of players plus 5m in cash for a knackered soon to be 34 year old that not many people would touch... and 2 average players
Did you look at the players I lost in the deal? Belletti is old but much better than most peoples RB. Voltz I could have sold 5 times in a week to some of the top teams in England and Italy. And Poulsen is almost as good as Nolan! he is just 2 years older. Belletti Voltz and Poulsen are good enough to be in your team so if they are average players you must not like your team very much

It actually looks a great deal for Bolton in the circumstances. They need points (and quick) so getting quality all over the field will give them a better chance of scoring and stopping goals than with just Nolan.

After reading Gareth Gardners application for the Bolton job, it made me wonder he went for them and not say....Spurs. But after reading this thred and seeing a couple of 30+ players going to Bolton, It all makes sense now lol

Quality, bloody quality! Banter in this game is awsome.
Bolton didn't lose for the first time in a long time last game. Also no one else offered what I was asking for Nolan the last few times they've been unmanaged and certainly didn't offer anyone who was nearly a straight replacement. If a top asset isn't doing enough to stop a team sliding be it Nolan at Bolton or Lopez at Real Mallorca, I will sell them to better balance the team. 95% of the time I'll put a price on a player when contacted about him and it's up to managers to bid that; my transfer policy for unmanaged clubs has always been the same, it's up to you guys if you bid or not.
Lets keep the banter for the media and the completed transfers for just that.
Lopez at Real Mallorca basically got them where they are and without a manager they're really not going to stay up next season whether they sell Lopez for a couple of decent players or not
