In conjunction with Football Academy, we are pleased to announce the introduction of the new panel show Match Of The (Day) Football Academy (MOTFA) !
The general setup will be as follows
Chair - Simon Newcombe Regular Pundit - Steve Davies Evans Weekly invited pundit - to change each week
Introductions
Simon Newcombe (Arsenal)
The current manager has is approaching his 6th season in the FA world, having managed Middlesborough and guided them to play off final success to the premiership before the rebranding of the FA leagues. He is currently managing Arsenal through a difficult season of rebuilding with a view to challenging the title next season. He is known for a Wenger like approach to youth team building and has a reputation for being hard working on the pitch, and reasonably relaxed while off it. After chairing the successful GTS programme last season he has been selected to try and run this new panel in an engaging and informative manner
Steve can make an introuction below this post

Delighted to be asked to appear as a regular pundit. For anyone that doesn't know who I am (And there can't be many), I am the current Leicester City manager in League 1 although I have just accepted an offer to ply my trade in Italy next season with Cagliari. I joined the game last season and guided Leicester to the Playoffs where I lost out. This season has been alot tighter and has been alot harder. Leicester therefor look set to miss out on the playoffs.
I am reliable with transfers and I like to have my say in the media section which I am sure will not change even though I will be accross the pond abit.
Anyway - Will look forward to giving my sometimes controvertial views in the coming weeks
For those of you who dont know, I'm The Other Simon - even though I was first, ahem...
Anyway, I'm a reliable guy who will always get back to whoever, whenever. I am coming up to my 9th season as a manager, meaning that I am one of the couple 'originals' left. I have managed West Brom from the bottom league to Europe in 'old' FA, and began the conquest again in FA Evo with the same team, but I decided to switch to a foreign league for the first time ever *dun dun duuuun*...
But yeh, I decided for a new challenge and to (maybe) topple the great Stu Price. I had decided to go around the countries beating all the great managers (kinda like Richard the Lionheart, but I suppose I go the wrong name for that!) Jamie Walker was next, but we struck a lasting deal between our two clubs and so maybe its a crusade of two now although I do have fingers in other pies (including our very own Simon Newcombe at Arsenal!).
So it was to Real Valladolid I turned, finishing near the bottom of the Segunda Division in Spain last season, and predicted 11th this season, we showed the doubters by securing promotion only a few weeks into the second half of the season.
I am not a great contributor to the Media section, as its generally taken up by League one Razzmatazz and never gives anyone else the spotlight having said that I havent had anything interesting happen recently in FA, except maybe the moving of clubs which for about 2 days sparked talk on the message board and put me in a position to post one piece of media (whoa steady on!).
So thanks for the invitation I am stoked to be invited (and first too!). I look forward to entertaining you all, with my wit and charisma! OK maybe not
I'll be answering everyones questions on the stadiums and scouts. Obviously that thread will be more rule related than debate related, but I'm sure people will have questions in the first week they come into play.
