Week 1 - Transfer Round Up

Well Ladies and Gents, Well you know what I mean.... We have out first look at the week 1 transfers that have gone through, or not in some cases. A few Caught my eye .....

1 - Obafemi Martins from Newcastle to Arsenal for Gerald Pique + Alvaro Recoba + Abou Diaby + £2 million - Caused a big talking point, Alot of people questioning if Arsenal has paid too much. There is no doubt that Martins is a classy player and will definatley add something to thier strike force. As Simon has admitted, Pique is a loss but he also has quality in that position with Senderos.

2 - Sulley Muntari + £6 million from Manchester United to Sunderland for Mancini  - Massive, Massive signing for Sunderland. Mancini is a good player but Muntari has played at this level before with Southampton and done very very well so a shrewd signing by Mr Petty here.

3 - Diomansy Kamara + £3 million from West Brom to Brescia for Luca Toni - Toni should be a big hit in this division and may just give WBA that something extra upfrnt. Bit of a gamble by Paul but he normally gets his transfers right so Im sure this wont be any different

4 - Wayne Routledge loan from Sevilla to Wolves for half season - A clever signing by Jamie, Adding a good wide man that will make chances for good strikers, Especially ones that are looking to leave Italy soon!!! awwawwaww

5 - FAILED Michael Mifsud from Wolves to Ascoli for £3.2 million - Not enough money at Ascoli.
FAILED - Stefano Morrone from Livorno to Ascoli for £2.8million - Not enough money at Ascoli - That's what you get for beating Cagliari lol. Only kidding.

Whats your oppinion of the Colin Kazim-Richards and Antonio Guayre swap deal Steve ? Which way do you favour it. Young raw talent or in the favour of allready a good player with a few years in him yet ? Im still a little undecided

Well...... you know me well enough by now to know that I will be honest with you and I have to say that I was a little surprised with your deal. I think that against al the odds, you kept a aging but quality team at Leeds last season and the likes of Solano showed that you don't have to be 22 to do the business. I think at 30 years old, Guaryre is still a class player and I have to think that Sheff Utd are getting th better end of the deal. Kazim-Richards has the potential and the talent but it's whether he improves enough to make this deal worth while. For anyone not familiar with either player... I have put the details below for you.

Colin Kazim-Richards: ST 22-1-6-5-4 Bonus for Speed Value £6.5m (Played 1 scored 0)

Antonio Guayre: ST 30-3-8-8-3 Bonus for Speed Value £8.8m (Played 1 scored 1)

The deal in question was: Antonio Guayre + 0.3m for Kazim Richards.
