MOTFA Gossip Column - Week One


Good afternoon Gentlemen

Welcome to a new section on MOTFA where we will look to discuss all the rumours and speculation amassed through our network of contacts within the game

Please note that a lot of this is conjecture and speculation and no offence is caused or meant by any of the team in inaccurate information regarding clubs or players

Comments in this thread should be kept to a minimum with all runmours comming from myself rather than have a never ending series of posts and counter posts. This also allows me to spell check and check where relevant some of the facts

Please note many thanks to the manager concerned who emailed me with the majority of the stories for week one

Week One Gossip Column

Cardiff City are hoping to persuade Real Betis into a quick fire sell their newest recruit Gianlucca Mussacci. The Left winger only joined last week but the Bluebirds boss is ready to test the easrly resolve of Betis with a £14million cash offer.
 
New Almeria coach Arthur Gillion has warned Cardiff City to decide on the future of their young striker Garcia, or face the Spanish second division side walking away from the negotiation table. Almeria have tabled a bid of around £3million for the striker, leaving Cardiff stalling for other offers.
 
Newcastle United's Scott Parker looks to be a step further to ending his Newcatle nightmare with Spurs, Portsmouth and Atletico Madrid potential suitors.
 
Daniel Sturridge looks set to head out on loan to Cadiz this week in search of first team football.
 
Charlton Athletic veteran Claude Makalele has aimed a snipe at Scottish manager Brian McGuigan for his lack of ambition in the transfer market. Makalele stated if the club didn't start to show it's ambition then he may be forced to quit the London outfit.
 
Manchester United's new wonderkid Salvatore Caturano has voiced a parting shot at former manager Thomas Barry at Empoli. The striker labelled the young Welsh manager 'a joke' after the highly rated youngster left after just one game for the tuscany club. 'I hope the Empoli fans realise what a short-minded idiot they have in charge' Caturano exclaimed.
 
Crystal Palace look to have ended there search for a new Left back. With Spurs allowing Beniot Assou-Ekoto join their London neighbours on a loan basis

Arsenal wonderkid Denilson is impressing in the reserves this season, and rumours are abound that himself and fellow wonderkid Carlos Vela may soon get promoted to the first team this season

A top premiership side have been making movement in the goalkeeping market and is currently looking at high profile goalkeepers home and abroad. Big waves soon be made in the transfer market perhaps?

Real Madrid reportedly have a target in mind for the vacant managers post. Details are sketchy at this point but the rumour is that newer applicants may be dissapointed when their CV's are put next to a longer standing manager with bags of experience

Reports are flooding the back pages of local press over a legal battle between who owns the rights to hotshot forward Scott Sinclair. Representatives from Chelsea and QPR are currently battling to ensure they each register his signature for their academy teams

Chelsea are also the subject of speculation this week with their as yet unused £30m transfer budget. An effort is being paid to reduce the squad age overall with new investment however conflicting reports suggest a huge superstar is also on the way to the club

Cagliari: Rumours are that Arsenal youngster Theo Walcott may well be joined by 2 other new strikers this week. One heading from Italy's Serie A and the other coming from Spains La Liga.

West Brom star Jason koumas is rumoured to be on his way to the premiership after several offers for the player. an unnamed source claimed that the club have rejected a bid from a london based club, while are strongly considering another offer from a different club within the Capital"
