I can only really see this going one way. Jonny at Ascoli has made some clever signings in recent weeks and currently sit in 5th in the league having taken 10 points from a possible 18. Torino have had a dreadful start to the season and currently sit rooted to the bottom of the table. They did however take their first point last week away at Reggina so could this be a huge shock? I think not.
Dangerman: Pietro Arcidiacono (Striker - Ascoli - 6 games, 3 goals, 3 assists)Prediction: Ascoli 4-1 Torino
Sampdoria v SienaRoss Walker has recently taken over at Sampdoria and may take a couple of weeks to settle in. How happy he will be to get Siena at home this week then. Sampdoria seem to be running away with the league already and it will be a job to stop them. Siena havent had the best starts to the season and sit second bottom at the moment with only one win so far this season and I dont see them adding to that this weekend.
Dangerman: Victor Anichebe (Striker - Sampdoria - 6 games, 3 goals, 5 assists)Prediction: Sampdoria 4-1 Siena
Palermo v Reggina
Palermo are currently in second place and have only tasted defeat once this season so far. They are currently fighting it out with Catani for that second automatic promotion place and I see them taking all 3 points this week. Reginna are on a run of 5 successive 1-1 draws. Dave has mad a couple of clever signings but I think this week maybe a bridge to far.
Both these teams are in the middle of the pack chasing a playoff place. Napoli have Titus Bramble and Kevin Phillips out this week and it remains to be seen how much of a difference that makes. Messina themselves have Bombara out but have a very good striker force that I think will win the day for the home side.
Dangerman: Rob Hulse (Striker Messina, 6 games, 2 goals)Prediction: Messina 2-1 Napoli
Chievo v Genoa
With both sides currently chasing the second automatic promotion place and both currently holding a playoff place, this should be a great game for the neutrals. Genoa are sat in 4th place, just 2 points off 2nd place whereas Chievo are occupying the last of the playoff places. Chievo have added Alvaro Recoba to their squad and will surely fancy their chances against a managerless Genoa. However, In Guiseppi Sculli Genoa have a striker bang in form and could just steal the day.
Catania are going to look to take maximum points from this one to try and claim that second automatic promotion place but this may well be a close one. Catania are in good form and they go into this one proving that you dont have to have major stars in your squad to do really well. Louis certainly has got them playing. Steve at Cagliari hasnt really found the right formation to suit his side yet but if they click, I think that they will be a match for most teams in Serie B. They have obvious talent in Theo Walcott and Manuel Iarrusso but havent quite found the golden touch just yet.
Dangerman: Theo Walcott (Striker Cagliari, 6 games, 1 goal, 1 assist)Prediction: Cagliari 1-1 Catania
