Manager of the Month - Week 10

Manager of the month;

The Premiership;

1st - Simon Newcombe (Arsenal) Simon claimed the awards after guiding his young and talented Arsenal side to 24 points out of a possible 27, leaving the Gunners 3 points shy of ever dominant Chelsea. Under-pressure mid-way through last season, few would have predicted that Newcombe would respond in such a manner and defy his critics so resoundingly.

2nd - Chris Hanton  (Tottenham Hotspur), 3rd - Luke Coakley  (Man City)

The Championship;

1st Jamie Walker (Watford) Watford have defied early season predictions and shown that their dominance of League one last season was no fluke. Beating Blackburn last week took Watford into the automatic promotion places, much to the delight of Walker and the Watford faithful. If Watford can continue their impressive form consecutive promotions will be on the cards.

2nd Mark Rollings (Coventry City), 3rd Amilcar Vasquez (Blackburn Rovers)

League One;

1st Stephen Wells (Bristol City) Stephen took over Bristol City at the beginning of this season and has transformed them into real promotion contenders in his short time in charge. Bristol City underachieved last season, and were not widely fancied this term. However, through hard work and determination Stephen has guided the robins into the play-off places, and with things being so tight Bristol City are right in the mix.

2nd Jamie Best (Wolves), 3rd Matt Galleozzi (Preston NE) & John Petty (Sunderland)

Serie A;

1st Steve Jenkins (Juventus) Experienced manager Steve Jenkins has used all his tricks of the trade to turn Juventus into a very competitive Serie A side. After suffering the indignity of Serie B, fans are enjoying life under Jenkins. As their squad continues to grow together few would bet on Mr Jenkins turning the Black and Whites into genuine title challengers very soon.

Serie B;

1st Ross Walker (Sampdoria) Even though Sampdoria were always red hot favourites to rip through Serie B this season, and gain promotion with ease it is difficult to overlook just how well Ross Walker has met expectations. His side have swept aside all comers this season to show their Serie A credentials and all but secure a passage back top Italys premier league for next season.

2nd Glenn Whitter (Palermo) & Louis Galleozzi (Catania)

La Liga;

1st Stuart Price (Seville) Title holding Seville have been in scintillating form so far this season, and look odds on to claim another league title. Pundits and fans alike have been lauding the efforts by Stuart Price and he has deservedly claimed the first Manager of the Month in La Liga. Seville have maintained a perfect record so far this season, and are going to take some serious beating.

Segunda;

1st Richard Jeffries (Real Zaragoza) Much in the same way as Sampdoria and Seville have gloriously met pre-season expectation Zaragoza have displayed their utter dominance of Segunda division this season. Winning 9 out of 9 is impressive enough, but the Spanish outfit have conceded only 3 goals in the process. Their place in La Liga already looks nailed on for next season.

 2nd Gareth Gardener (Celta Vigo), 3rd Richard Marsh (Cadiz)
