Gimnastic manager Andy Fletcher this week hinted at his inability to settle in Spain and his love for the English game.
"The weather and lifestyle here is fabulous" Fletch said, "But I am always scanning the English papers to see how the leagues are doing, I miss the game in England and one day wish to return. My dream is to be in the Premier League and I may have to take a team up there to get there. I have to say if the opportunity came along then I would be very serious about applying"
"I know the game, the players and the managers, its the toughest league in the world and the most rewarding"
"I think the close season proved at Gimnastic that the chairman is content to play football in the Segunda Division, we had a late attempt at getting there and we werent far away in the play offs, its disappointing this year that this has effected the players, some expected to be playing in the top division but it didn't happen. The funds arent there to build the squad and although we have secured loan deals and wheeled and dealed a bit we havent made any progress this season. We desperatley need a top midfielder and a top centre back but funds are limited and attempts at loan deals have proven fruitless"
