League Game Previews - WEEK 12

ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP

Chelsea vs Arsenal

The Gunners face on paper their toughest game of the season so far against run away league leaders Chelsea this week. Fans are very expectant from both clubs at this top of the table tussle - but rumours are coming from the Emirates that several first teamers will be rested to conitnue there hard work later in the season and not suffer from burn out. Chelsea fans are also eager to see the young star Ben Sahar start to impress in the Premiership since his promotion from the youth academy

Ones to Watch - The quality of the youngsters bearing in mind the likes of Torres and Fabregas and Lamprd will be resting will be key to Arsenal getting anything from this game

Prediction - Chelsea 4 vs Arsenal 2

Fulham vs Everton

This would normally be a foregone conclusion when one team contains the mighty Henry - but many people in the game are tipping Fulham for an upset this week. Its a massive game for both clubs with it all to play for as we enter the last half of the season. With so much money avaliable to clubs that can survive in the Premiership - who will prove they have the most to give this week?

Ones to Watch - rather than any individuals - it will be hard work and resolve that wins this match

Prediction - Fulham 1 vs Everton 2

Man City vs Liverpool

A heavy weight clash this week between two top sides in the English Premiership. Man City are expected to return to their fulls strength line up this week, and Liverpool have been undr achieving against the good teams this year - so many will see this game as a barometer of progress made the last few seasons for both clubs

Ones to Watch - Pablo Aimar will be vital to any Man City victory today, especially considering ther were rumours he was close to joining the Anfield outfit before signing for City....................

Prediction - Man City 3 vs Liverpool 3

Newcastle vs Man Utd

Unlike the match above, sadly Newcastle are tipped to return to unwinning form this week against form team Man U. The media can only predict a whitewash for the away side and the fans up north are rightly worried they will turn up to a humiliation from the red side of Manchester

Ones to Watch - Ronaldo on the wing, and that special Brazilian in the middle of the park will have huge parts to play this week........

Prediction - Newcastle 0 vs Man Utd 5

Spurs vs Portsmouth

Spurs have struggled so far against good solid teams in the Premiership and the media is predicting more of the same this week. On paper they should more than win this match - but Portsmouth dont know the meaning of the word defeat and will demand that Berbatov and the lads have to be on top form to achieve the victory the fans and board epect

Ones to Watch - Will retiring a newly signed retiring veteran prove he was worth the high price for Spurs today?

Prediction - Spurs 2 - Portsmouth 2

Wigan vs West Ham

Completing this weeks fixtures is another promisingly entertaining game, well, as long as you are a Hammers fan that is! Wigan have been so poor recently that many are losing patience and it will take a brave man to look at anything other than a large West Ham positive scoreline. Good luck Wigan is all this reporter can say..........!

Ones to Watch - Carlos Tevez and Dean Ashton have the potiential to make a huge difference on this game...............

Prediction - Wigan 1 vs West Ham 4
