Relegated Clubs - New Players/Teams

I've come up with a thought, don't know if anyone has brought this up before but here it goes:

  1. When teams get relegated from the lowest league in thier country they should then be taken out of the game and the manager needs to find a new club.
  2. To replace the team relegated FA (Rich) should have a pot of teams i.e. Swansea, Hull etc.. to choose from to be promoted to the lowest league.
  3. This creates a new club for managers to apply for
  4. It also creates new players for the game without having a bidding war like with scouting etc..

What do you reckon?

(I will now read the other posts to see if its been brought up before!)

We had this system at the end of the old FA - and i still like it now

Actually - it might have not come into affect before the old FA shut down - cant remember?

But i think its one of the best ideas for new features

Yes Simon this was borught in but it didnt take effect before the old FA Closed down. A great idea and one I would back.

Can I suggest a team for England then as a new addition - Ipswich Town.

Its a great idea I suppose only problem would be WD having to make up a new team and do all new players and stats for them for every country.

He could do that throughout the season if he decided at the beginning of each season who was going to join, it would be 3 teams to put together each season.

Also another problem might be when the teams were set up...ie all our squads were set up at the same time and had the current players in them.

If you set up Hull now you might find a few player duplications.

Like the idea though Jop smile.gif

But then Rich would use youth players for something like that.

Luke why you being so negative?? if you carry on I won't play Joe Hart or Iannelli for the rest of the season. lol.

He knows every player and where they play and each players stats and value off the top of his head!

Yeah I remember being involved in the discussions about this in the old game.

I think it was especially important in the old game because there was only one league in France, Germany and Spain so the really bad teams were kept in the big league.

I think it would work just as well in this game and would be happy to see it introduced.

Sounds a great idea John. It would really freshen the game up a little aswell. Just a lot more work for Rich tho. But keep Swansea scum off the game.Its nice without them. Lets just hope Leeds go down aswell !

It was something introduced in the old game towards the end as the non-English leagues had only 1 tier each. I'm tempted not to do it yet in this game as its a fair bit of work setting them up and generally managers don't go to these low clubs so I have plenty of time to rebuild them as unmanaged clubs, which had been a big reason for previously taking a few teams out for a season.
