Team sheet/ Transfer Sheet

I think (If possible Rich) that there should be 2 Sheets to submit.

  1. Team Sheet - With Name, email, password and team
  2. Transfer Sheet - With Name, email, password and Transfers/Loans

The reason I have come up with this is that there has been a few times that I (and prob others) have submitted my teamsheet say on a wednesday and then a manager gets back to me and a deal is agreed, then I need to fill out the whole team sheet again in order to get this transfer through, there has been times where i've mailed Rich last minute (this can't be good for him if loads do this!)

The benefits:

  1. Managers can submit their teams early and then wheel and deal until last minute then just submit the transfers, without worrying about teamsheets.
  2. When there is a cup game 2 team sheets are submitted with the transfer info at the bottom (although this is empty, must be annoying for Rich?)
  3. This should be easier for Rich when he recieves team sheets by mail, they can go into 2 seperated mailbox folders, this then lets him crack on with games and then go through transfers after, could you clarify if that would help Rich?

Another idea for team sheets:

How about a drop down box for the number of weeks for your team sheet to be submitted?

for example: if a manager was going on holiday then instead of missing games there would be an option of "how many weeks to play for?" then a drop down box could give you an option up to say 2 weeks? (No more otherwise we will have inactive managers submitting once for the whole season)

Also there could be an option to submit team sheets for the cup game and league game the same time again a check box/drop down box giving the option of "Cup and League".

I understand players get injured/banned so if that were to happen Rich would put a default player in unless the manager re-submits.

Again this saves time for managers and Rich (Hopefully)

What do you reckon?

It's something that could do with being looked at.

Probably just me being lazy, but it is quite a long winded process at the moment.

To be honest I think it would create a lot of uneccerssary clutter for rich to sort through.

Not really, surely it would split the workload.

I'm assuming Rich does the matches then the team sheets etc..

So he can do the matches from the team sheets then go through the transfer sheets later.

Stop being so negative Mark!!

There would be no advantage splitting them, it would just increase the number of emails I have to sort through. The form splits team and transfers up into different parts of the email, so at the moment I process the top part then the bottom later when I have transfers to do.

This is my issue with people who send 4+ team sheets a week. Theres no advantage sending yours in on Monday for Friday - if you've done everything by Monday then great get in early, but if you know you might be using transfer spaces later in the week, wait until Thursday or Friday before you send it in. There shouldn't be any need for 2 max really and thats only if you manage to pull off a late deal or if you change your mind on the tactics at the last minute.

Richard.
