I would like to formally apply for the vacant managers post at Atletico Madrid.
My managerial career has seen me gain great success moving Coventry up from a lower League One team to a Premier League outfit in successive seasons, building an exciting and attacking squad who tore through Championship defences. The brand of football saw Coventry fill all of an expanding Ricoh Arena last season, which saw the club turn a decent £1.7million profit this term.
Sadly my time at Coventry has come to an end, and that had left me searching for a new job.
As such I would be very excited to talk to the board at Atletico Madrid about taking up the reigns at the club and leading them into a season in which I believe with a few changes could become extremely successful. Having always met, or greatly exceeded my targets I am certain that I could lead them onto glory!
I have extended a more detailed breakdown of my thoughts to the Atletico board and keenly wait a response.
I would like to point out that Mark has done an amazing job taking Coventry into the top flight. I dont see the resignation as a knee jerk reaction but a carefully thought out and difficult decision. But any team hanging on to Marks coat tales is certain to be dragged into the big time.
I'm sure Mark would be looking at making Athletico Madrid the biggest name in Spanish and European football.
Despite me not agreeing with Mark walking out on Coventry he has his reasons and there are not to many managers who have got a club promoted in consecutive seasons.
He is very good manager and deserves the chance with such a big club.
I would like to add my backing to Mark getting the Atletico job, he has done a fantastic job at Coventry and i feel he would do well in Madird, i have kept an eye on my old team since i left and i feel they are in place to really push into the top 3 this season after the change at Seville and i think Mark could be the man to do it.
Id defiantely back Mark to do well in Madrid with Athletico.
His acheivements speak volumes for his talent and commitment.
I worked fairly closely with Mark last season and find him an excellent manager in all respects.
I dont really fancy coming up against him after taking over at Barca but he deserves the opportunity to test himself.
Cheers Ads p.s. No I dont fancy him. lol
