I would be interested to hear your thoughts on wether or not a settled squad, IE, not much transfer activity, can have any bearing on the way the game engine works ?
I asked if it was possible to introduce such a thing as you hear pundits talking about a settled team (around the time of Rafa's 99 different starting 11s a while ago), given it was being discussed. But Rich said it would be difficult to introduce such a feature, and that it didnt affect the game.
There are benefits to a settled squad, but not in the way you're thinking about. Theres no stat bonus for keeping the players the same. What it does allow you to do is to get the best out of your team. If you play with the same team for a whole season it'll give you time to try out different tactics, player combinations etc. and find the set up that gets the optimum performance out of your team (or you would hope that were the case). By constantly changing your team you tend to have no idea of the fluctuating strengths and weaknesses and results will just seem totally random as its not just oppositions and weather thats changing, but theplayers you're using on top of that.
