I know it happens in "real life" but surely not to the extent it does on here ?
Is it me or am I just picking up on the ones that hit the FA Headlines ?
We seem to be switching cl;ubs every few minutes, perhaps the academy can produce a summary of which managers have moved clubs over the last two or three seasons and how many times ?
For the first time I am struggling to get a handle on who is where and Im worried this could jeapordise the game, I have given up on transfers etc due to not knowing where I am all the time.
Perhaps I'm just having a bad day but does anyone else feel this way, should managers stick it out and perhaps only move at the season end ?
I don't actually think many managers do move around a lot. The perception that this is the case comes from:
1. FA media where it is talked about a lot (Simon seems to have been just about to leave Arsenal every week for a couple of seasons if the media is to be believed!). 2. Secondly a group of managers who seem to feel that lack of success at one club justifies a move to a better club in a higher division. Far better they should follow the example of someone such as Jamie Best who put in the hard yards in the lower leagues with an unfashionable club before earning an opportunity to move to a more prestigious team / league (but which still needed a lot of effort and skill to return it to it's former glory and which he will achieve in part because of the lessons he learnt managing in the lower leagues). 3. Thirdly a (similar) group of managers who are constantly agitating to move rather than using their energy to make their current club a success!
This "churning" by some managers creates the impression of movement when the actually number of real moves is much lower.
We are on season 5 (?) of FA and I'm on my second club. If you include the original FA (which I know some people don't like mentioned) which ran for around 7 seasons that gives me two clubs in 12 seasons. There are plenty of other managers who are only on a second or at most third club.
Fair points and well put, I think its probbaly true to say only 20% of items hit the headlines meaning the rest of the managers are carrying on with their heads down and doing a decent job.
I think the media as you say brings more attention to movers hence then it seems everyone is moving..............
Seriously Ash though mate - you just look silly if you make accusations and then chicken out of using any facts to back up your argument. Like anything in life - if you cant back something up I just dont get the point of saying it?
Sorry lads, but cmon.No point picking on Ash just cos he dont want to get into trouble. There are some silly deals done. I myself think iv had some great deals, then other deals im thinking " why the hell did i do that ? ". An example was seling David Healy for Peter Thorne on my 1st season just cos i was a Peter Thorne fan at Cardiff. Maybe inexperiance, but a silly mistake as it was early on in my managerial game experiance. We all mess up and other managers think why have they done that deal ? But it all comes round in roundabouts. Different opinions is what make this game so good
Cheers GG, So Sim im a **** out just because I dont want this board to have big arguements? All im saying, End of topic!

I dont know which Sim you're talking about but neither of us said that. I would have to agree with Pricey, what did you expect would happen? Leaving it hanging was always going to cause more of a stir than naming and shaming!
