A more in depth post will go up here when everything is done, and an email will go round to everyone also but some things have changed on the site already so I'm putting this here for now.
The new season should be running by tonight. I haven't been around to work on it the best part of the last two days hence the Tuesday start up.
Donations are available to send for the new season. Donations can still be sent through paypal but the system has changed and you can now used the FA Webstore on the home page (top bar). Here you can purchase entry into this seasons FAFF as well as one of two optional donation packages. If you click on each, you'll see a list of the rewards on offer but again clarification of those will be posted when everything is finished.
FA Radio will be up and running for the new season. Changes have begun already and the new channel views will be up shortly. I've updated the commentary itself but also tried to provide a more in depth data view for the match. This will hopefully bring the FA Radio up to date with the previous update I made on the match results page when the new data was added to those.
Work is going on behind the scenes on a Shirt Design feature. You will be able to design your kit each season and select from a number of Sponsorship offers to have sponsorship added to the shirt. This will increase finance handling and income for you as managers, and will provide a bit more of interactivity as well. Thanks to Jop for the work he has done in helping me with this. This won't be up straight away but will come in a few weeks into the season.
This message board has also changed slightly. FAFF will now join BTO in a section for the mini-games. The same duo will help run BTO this season and many thanks to them for this seasons work, and Simon J will be doing the admin work for the FA Fantasy Football. Some of the other sections have been merged such as the area for polls so please just double check you're in the right area before posting.
FAFF is a pay to play mini game however it will have differing awards to BTO as a result. UK residents will be eligable for an actual medal/trophy if they win FAFF as long as I can arrange for one to be specially made. Non-UK managers will have to forfeit this reward but should one such manager win, I will add a different reward to compensate that.
This season should be the first in FA history to allow manager the chance to become a chairman using their managerial wages they have earned. There will be a special section added for this which isn't online yet, and I'm working on other features managers will be able to buy throughout the season with their wages.
I've almost finished FA Radio work now, with a few bits uploaded already for the 1st week.
People who have bought a channel on FA Radio, your pages are created ready. The general channels may or may not show a live game this week, usually they don't on week 1 as I recover from the update.
Emails to people who have donated will go out this Friday with information about picking scouts or picking the extra £1 million.
I will update the FAFF list this weekend with the people who have paid since last time, so you haven't been forgotten.
