SUNDERLAND MANAGER DALE PRICE SPEAKS AFTER A GOOD POINT IN 1^ST GAME OF THE SEASON

SSN Mr price how you feeling after that game?

DP I have to say that if you had offered me a point at the start of the game I would have bitten your hand off as we were unable to play a full side but I thought the lads did well and crated more chances than Wigan.

SSN Portsmouth next week. You looking forward to pitting you witts against your friend Glenn Whitter?

DP It will be good to see Glenn he is one of my best mates in football but for 90 minutes this weekend we will not be mates at all. He also has some silly pre match thing where he puts his wrist in his mouth and makes a funny noise its quite sill and me and my staff will be standing there saying look at Glenn by ere ana.

SSN We have seen that you were going to be bringing in a new player on loan this week but had a problem with the paper work will it be sorted out ready for this weeks game?

DP Yes thats right we were ment to be signing Henri Lansbury from Fiorentina But there was as you said a problem with the paper work the deal will not be able to go through for this weeks game but it is hoped it will be done ready for the week after.

SSN Your board has giving you a target of top 6 do you think you can get this or is it a bit far this season?

DP I feel we have every chance of doing it but it will be allot harder than last season and I think it may be a harder challenge than  the one I had at Norwich City a few seasons ago. I think that a club of this size should be in the premiership and I hope I am around to bring that to the fans.

SSN Talking about the fans there was a good 20-30 minutes that they didnt stop singing your name how does that make you feel?

DP To tell you the truth it was without doubt the best moment I have had as a football manager I love it here at this club and I think that the fans love me thats why I want to try my hardest to get this team to the top and when you see players like the Wag coming through the youth and getting a goal this weekend the club is showing signs that it is going in the right direction.
