Wages were introduced start of season 5. At that point managers had generated wages based on ratings given to various skills (tactics, transfers, financial management etc). Managers who have moved since then have been able to discuss potential wage rises as part of their contract negotiations. You could ask for more, but if undeserved you risk making your chairman unhappy. Hope that helps.
