Follow these steps if you would like to purchase a club to become chairman of:
1 - Check under Wages how much money you have earned through your wages. Then check the latest club prices posted in Managers Desk here to see which clubs you're likely to be able to afford.
2 - Post a new thread in Managers Desk here. State your interest in purchasing a club. Title the thread with the name of the club. Any managers also interested have 3 days to register interest in your thread. In this 3 day period, FA will post the exact up to date details of the club in question, with the precise starting price of the club for bidding along with any current bank loan details.
3 - IF ANOTHER MANAGER REGISTERS INTEREST IN THE SAME CLUB - After 3 days since you started the thread, FA will post in there to start bidding on the club. Anyone who stated interest in those 3 days can bid on the club until bidding ends and FA closes the thread. Only managers who registered interest in those 3 days can bid, no new bidders can appear.
3 - IF NO MANAGERS REGISTER INTEREST IN THE SAME CLUB - FA will post in there to start the bidding on the club. As the only interested party you have the option of buying the club at the starting price, or no following through with your interest.
Any questions, please post here.

Use of Chairman/Wages featue
- You can either use Chairman feature as a side game totally apart from management - You can use it to help strengthen links as you'd need to pick and work closely with a manager if you were chairman of a club - You could use it as a breeding ground for your own young talent on loan extending the feeder club idea greatly (I've already been asked if someone buys a club, can they name it after their own club ie. make Fulham into AC Milan B!!) - Or just use it to make money by developing a club and selling it for a profit to boost the money you earn via wages.
Other items will be for sale eventually that you can spend your wages on.

1 Can a manager take over as a Chairman of more than one club?
2 Also if a manager buys a club, can anyone else then take it over at a future date, or is it impossible to take over somone elses club?
3 As a Chairman and once you have bought a club can you then invest further money into the club, because if so there are disadvantages of being taken over by another manager - compared to the current situation where some clubs have been taken over and had massive amounts invested - I know its rare but Genoa is the team I am thinking of. Is there a plan to phase out fantasy Chaimen to overcome this problem?
4 Following on from 3, can a manager object to a particular manager applying as Chairman - such as if someone wants to become Chairman but only then has a samll amount of cash left to invest?
That explains some of the questions. You can also see one of the action forms abailable to chairmen that you could fill in.
You can object to someone coming in as chairman, and it may effect the fans support which in turn would put pressure on the new chairman if they took over, but on the whole managers don't get a say in chairmen. The advantage is, only managers who have stayed in the game at a high level can really afford clubs at the moment, and even those aren't the top clubs.
