It is with regret that i feel i must officially offer my resignation at Arsenal.

As hard as i have tried to build a strong team in all areas i appreciate the reults on the pitch and our position in the table doesn't reflect this. I feel i have tried almost everything i can think of but still cant get the results that the fans and chairman deserve.

Throughout my time in FA i have been a successful manager who has always risen  to the task but maybe this is the time for me to admit defeat. I think that someone with fresh input may be able to take the club forward where i am not sure i can.

Of course if the chairman wishes me to continue the rebuilding process i have started and try to improve the clubs position then i will devote 100% of my time as i have done so far, but i feel the time is right for me to offer my resignation.
