Personally, i think we could surprise them, the Jekyll and Hyde performances so far make us unpredictable which could be a good thing, and although the Germans have looked pretty solid so far i think we can match them pretty much all over the park. It'll be tight for sure but i hope we can do it...

Although I would love to see England win the whole thing it has surely got to be fate that England get knocked out of another World Cup at the hands of Maradona.
1-1 normal time, either Germany win by a goal due to a defensive mistake late in injury time, or it goes to penalties...
And although few will say anything other than Germany on penalties if it gets that far, I reckon it would be very close on penalties, maybe 5-4 either way.
I just cant see England winning this after watching all three of their games so far. I've also watched all three Germany games and I think they will have that bit of quality. I certainly don't expect them to get hammered but I think 1-0 to Germany. I just can't see Englands defence (especially Upson) dealing with Urtzil and Podolski
England to win 1-0, hopefully Lamps will get the goal. if it does go to pens i reckon we might win this time. The Germans are quite inexperienced and that might count against them in a shootout, we wanna watch out for Oezil though, quality player.
John Terry - utter disgrace. Loads of the chances for Germany were because Upson and Johnson were chasing players waltzing in behind Terry.
Gerrard and Lampard - ???? Every time the team lost the ball they both turned round and walked back.
Rooney - did he even come to the World Cup or did they swap him for some fat hobbit on the runway?!!
James, Terry, Upson, Gerrard, Lampard, J.Cole, Heskey - all have no future for England.
Hart ?? - Dawson - ?? A.Cole A.Johnson - Barry - Milner - Lennon Rooney - Bent
Pick a team who want to wear the England shirt, not a bunch of over paid players from the top 3 teams.
Find a Right Back. Give people like Shawcross and EVEN MAGIC JOHNSON!! a chance at playing for England with Dawson as they are the FORM PLAYERS.
Fabio is a joke from the moment this team was picked. "I'll pick form players" then picks the same old rubbish. Tells Stevie G to play left and he does and goes where he likes. Tells Stevie G he is captain then lets Terry do the talking... what the hell??
Good luck Germans, they have a young talented team. 2 years team, wouldn't like to play them in European Championships.
Absolutely disgraceful, it's time to forget the 'golden generation' and concentrate on the young players coming through, to be fair to Terry he was playing on the wrong side of defence, he plays on the left for Chelsea and he needs a partner with pace as he's never remotely had any pace, so terry can go up and win the ball and his partner can cover round the back for him, Upson is a similar player, again with no pace. Capello has no idea about English football and tbh his English is still very poor, probs didn't help, but who else is there who can do a better job?
It shows really cos i think the Argentines will comfortably beat that German team, Oezil has class stamped on his head tho.
guys, not to bash too much, but a gripe i've always had with the premier league is that doesnt concentrate on home gwon players.. this is what happens. The country selection is ok, but for a major football power its got to be awesome.. like germany, spain, argentina, brazil. the premier league is maybe, just maybe the best league in the world, but certainly not because of english players. apart from lampard and gerard.. everyone was out of ideas, seriously. opinions?
This is just another case of foreign players in the premiership. I think it's fair to say that despite Serie A's improvement, The Premiership and La Liga are the two best leagues in world football. Spain are miles ahead now and is it any wonder. Look at the English Premiership and try and name as many ENGLISH players that are real class and make the league exciting. I came up with 3....Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard. I honestly couldn't class anyone else in their class. I certainly don't put Ferdinand or Terry in that group!
Now.....Look at La Liga and name SPANISH players that make that league what it is....Raul, Guti, Sergio Ramos, Pedro, Puyol, Casillias, Xavi, Iniesta, David Villa, David Silva and so on. This is why Spains are miles ahead of England internationally too.
Any team that plays Matthew Upson in defence deserves to get hammered. Look at the options and see why it's so harsh on Michael Dawson...
Terry - Despite the league and cup win, he's had the worst season for a long time.
King - How many games for Spurs? Yes he's ok but cant be trusted due to injuries.
Carragher - Again, Worst season for about 12 years and no surprise Liverpool arent in the Champs League.
Upson - Missed alot of games for WH and the games he did play, they were in a relegation dog fight and just about stayed up.
Dawson - The only England central defender that can look back on his season with pride and he didn't even get in the first 23!
Capello will go and quite simply, they should turn to Harry Rednapp. Woy Hodgson isn't good enough for England and Harry plays good football.

Personally I reckon Shawcross had the best season of any of the English defenders. Up until the Ramsey incident (which was an accident) a defensive set up with him and Sorenson were keeping a below average team in a decent position in the Premiership.
I just can't see England picking young players like Shawcross or someone like Roger Johnson as they are seen to be at unfashionable clubs. If they were to move to someone in the top 6 then they would have a better chance even if they were playing worse. Politics in football!
