The last post info has been changed and is much harder to read. This was done previously a few years back and was changed back after people said they didnt like it.
People complained that the previous way didn't show the exact time for the scouting bids, so for 2 weeks of the scouting it will be like this, for the final day, seconds will be included as well on the time, then it will go back outside of the window.
People wanted to see the time when they couldn't then complain when they can see it, can't be both ways at the same time lol.
i really don't like how this is going, managers just seem to be bidding for players for biddings sakem giving absolutely no chance for the smaller clubs
Well if i say names people will start denying it, but it pisses me off caz obviously, just looking at their squads they either have a similar player or don't need the player altogether. they are just their to hijack other people's transfer and make some quick money off players.
Its not fair for us small boys, i think rich should put a foreign player limit, say maybe 1 player per scout window. ugh!
they are just their to hijack other people's transfer and make some quick money off players.
If no one buys the players they can not make any money from the deal. As a manager who has purchased players this window I would be very unhappy if you were criticising me with no idea of my intentions for the players and unwilling to even put a name to your criticism. People know what the scouting is. Sometimes it is good some times it can just be ignored. Just go spend the money wisely in the normal market because if big teams are buying players the same as what they have that would water down the value of that type of player and make them cheaper to buy for small teams.

The reality is historically teams that have money have bought players to elimate the possibility of any rivals benefiting from their usage, Milan did this is the early 90's and Chelsea in their Mourinho pomp (aka Sidwell, parker etc), such a thing cannot be avoided.
Basically as a manager if you are willing and able why not, regardless of what your plans are.
If Chievo had the ability to engage in such a free for all I would frankly do the same, buy as many as I could. This results in more options for the lucky punter!
Bad loser! You had the money to beat me on one of them you should have paid more if you wanted one.
Thats not the point breda. I'm -6 hrs from you so at the hour of deadline i'm at work and no way i can outbid you even if i had the money.. point is others should be given a try, if not then put rules for fair play.
@Raymond thats true but in reality there is also a foreign player cap so that sometimes max 1 non-national player is admitted.. again to avoid real world player hogging
@liverpool right, and just like one manager paid for a scout, so did another
thats just it, i never thought u would bid for those players.. and the fact of the matter is i had to make serious sacrifices to get that money in to be able to reinforce in the scouting window
tbh wardy i don't know why your defending yourself for its a risk in the souting that you'll not get the player/s you want but if you are only going to bid the starting price then thats the risk you run Amilcar mate you had the money to out bid anyone in your scouting pol for one of the players but you wanted them on the cheap. also surley its up to the buying manager to decide if the player/s are important to their team yeah?
just thought i would throw my two pence in

not really i would have bid more for at least one of the players if i could do so.. but by the time i get home thread is closed because of my time difference. ok so you'll say thats my specific disadvantage that i have to deal with, and i agree.. but it just seemed to me the managers just to disrupt others process. Again its nothing i can prove and all managers involved will defend themselves and say well its my right to bid for who i want for whatever reason i want. I'm just saying, to make the game a bit fairer put in a couple conditions
if you could have bid more why didn't you just bid more when you first made your bid simples nothing to do with time diff if the player was that important to you you should have bid more

i know you were bidding fo two but if you needed one more than the other you could have bid more on that player
i think th scouting is good as it is tbh the trouble about bringing to many players through there is you'll run out of space for clubs to get youth through i guess. as for putting a cap on there i'm not sure as you said it can take alot of work to get money in and if there are more than one player they want then surley they should be able to bid on them yeah?

Then we are looking at fairness at one end of the spectrum .. what about the smaller team that also works hard to get money in.. bids.. and STILL gets nada..?

thats just the luck of the draw mate one knock on effect of the scouting is that when the window comes up managers normaly sell players for cheaper than what they would at other times in the season so they have cash for the scouting thats why i don't buy a scout (not that its made any diff tome this season as no cash to spend lol) i have had a couple of good players that way

in actuality for eu its a non-eu player. but obviously im not talking to that extreme. just in regards to the scouting window.
Just in regards to a rule change that suits you. I think teams in serie b with more than 5m should be banned from buying players not from sicily because it's unfair on the serie b teams with no money. It's only fair!
To be fair if I was in a position to buy someone from the scouting knowing I could sell them on for a profit I would, why wouldnt I, nothing wrong with that IMO
