Teams have an indefinate amount of time in administration. At the point I no longer feel I can raise any more funds if the club is still in debt, the debt is moved out of the bank balance (which is made 0 again) and into an unseen bank loan. Managers who are appointed at a club with bank loans are informed of this loan. Bank loans do increase but at a much slower rate than normal minus bank balance takes. If the bank loan becomes unmanagable negotiations will open between the chairman and the club about a deal to clear it, if nothing is agreed the club is shut down.
EG. The closest anyone has got to shutting along that line of events is as far as an unmanagable bank loan debt at Cadiz. They had £50 million bank loan debt which was far bigger than the club was going to turn over in the next 10 seasons. At that time, the chairman was Mark Galeozzi and an agreement was made to save the club. He had 2 seasons to clear the debt in agreed installments, during which time the debts were frozen. If he hadn't cleared all the debts within 2 seasons, or if he'd missed any of the agreed installments, Cadiz would have been shut down.
Punishments for administration are 3 points for entering administration, and a further 6 points on top of that deducted if they fail to clear those debts and have to pick up a bank loan.
