I will post end of season 9 information here to keep it all together and easy to access for everyone.
First off, the weekender has finished for the season. There will be one more major piece of media which will summarise all teams from all leagues showing their performances, but the rest of the time will be spend on the update. The weekender will begin with a season preview at the beginning of next season.
With the update, although no loans will happen this week OR next week (so don't bother putting them on your team sheet) as there are no more competitive matches between this Friday and the update, and as theres no stat benefit in friendly matches there's no point in loans now until week 1.
Every manager will also be emailed by their chairman in the new format this weekend, with a season review.
cool looking forward to that hopefully i get a good review depending on tonights result hopefully he don't forget i took the team to semi final of the cup but hope he forgets the shocking head start i give the top two lol

English chairmen have begun sitting down with their managers to assess the season gone. You don't have to reply to these emails, but if you wish to make a statement to your chairman this obviously gives you a good opportunity to do so while seeing just how your chairman feels about you at present.

Pre-Season page is updated for the new season. Button to begin pre-season on the home page.
The pre-season page is set out to help yuou keep track and work through the things that need doing, and the time frame for doing it. Some stuff needs to be done before this weekend ahead of the update, all the "By week 5" stuff really applies after you've seen the update though so don't go that far down the list until next week.
The youth induction this summer is the last now. There will be no more random youth players entering FA. Instead the new academy system will take over the role of supplying new players. As part of the update though, a new option to sell academy players to other clubs direct without passing through your first team is hopefully being put in place.
Not keen on this idea tbh, not all clubs can afford youth academies so wont be able to get any youth players coming through I think the two random youth players and the academies work well alongside each other. There are plenty of players over 17 at clubs not currently in the game. What about changing it to just two random youth at the start of the season and none at the half season point?
yeah rich.. i believe that this will considerably shift the balance in the game between those who can afford a youth academy and those who can't. I reality i believe all professional clubs in europe have a youth academy.. but in the game it's considerably high to buy one.. maybe reducing the price of the academy for a generally affordable one would help?
I have to agree with the managers concerns voiced above. For the smaller clubs in the game the running fees for the academies are going to make it difficult for them to invest in them. Unless more money comes into the game from Chairmen this is going to undermine clubs who have ageing players or not a lot of investment coming to them. Having managed at Cadiz I know what it is like to be a small club, with little/no money to spend and the way I did it was to sell young players that came through automatically. I think this needs some careful thought....
"As part of the update though, a new option to sell academy players to other clubs direct without passing through your first team is hopefully being put in place."
Clubs can choose to operate their own academy, link up with a bigger club and pick up players from that academy as part of a deal, look for academy players teams are unlikely to promote and make bids for them, or sign players when they are released from the academy on a free.
The change will give managers more power over what sort of youth player comes into their squad.
There are some players not in the game yet but a lor of the youth pools that generate the random youth players are drying up now, and the players I'm adding in the refreshes are players who could quite easily go into the new youth academy system. There is nothing to say an 18 year old for example who might be in the youth pool can't be moved into the academy system and just dropped to a 14 year old to start out. FA ages faster than real life anyway so ages don't match up perfectly to real life.
On the point of investment - linking to the media plees that have happened over the last few weeks, along with emails asking the same thing, 99% of investment is now tied into contracts. You can see exactly what investment you're getting. Investment will usually be for either achieving targets ie. £10 million for winning a trophy, or they will be for signing a contract. If you're in the middle of a contract and haven't activated any bonus investment, don't expect investment. Teams need to consider investing more wisely in the income streams that have been available for a number of seasons now. Club shop, Stadium etc. Although they're the highest generating team, one team is already making £25 million a season from these streams - and this doesn't include any money for winning things or playing in europe.
The signing players for free is one avenue but I think perhaps this should be random rather than favouring larger clubs as the free agents does, otherwise smaller clubs would be likely to lose out.
Obviously as some of you may have guessed update slowed the minute Monday rolled around due to work. Even if everything went up tonight you'd have less than 3 days for the first week and I accept most of you probably have your busiest transfer weeks at the start of the season so that doesn't seem fair, or a good idea. As such all team sheets will go up Friday evening at the same time to make it fair and you'll then have a full week to check up the new rules regarding the changes to the team sheets, and do your deals etc.
No because the team sheets are in mid-update, and the website wasn't updated after the final transfer section prior to the update. All the finances etc. have now changed with the update.
Just a quick note, please don't send multiple emails regarding transfers. Obviously I'm still in the process of finishing off the update, tonight I'm in the middle of finishing the rules updates. I should get time to go through player transfer offers tomorrow evening however I've already seen some multiple emails and forwarded emails sitting there. This will just make it all take longer when I do get to them.
Remember it's been pretty much non stop for me updating stuff for a week now. I'm not ignoring transfer offers but they're last on my list of priorities. You've not been ignored!!
