Steve Jenkins - Juventus defended their Italian double once again, finishing 3 points clear in the league extending their unbeaten run to a huge 44 games, and beating rivals Genoa in the cup final. In the European Cup Juventus once again reached the final but once again lost out to Real Valladolid in the final game of the season.
Callum Ward - Genoa finished 2nd in the table behind Juventus and runners up to Juventus in the Italian Cup. They were the first team to take points off Juventus in the last few seasons with a draw in the league. In the UEFA Cup they won the tournament beating Atletico Madrid in a high scoring tournament.
Jonathan Petty - Roma were tipped for a top half finish but ended up sitting 4th secured with near a month to spare of the season. They finished 20 points outside the top 3. In the Cup they were dumped out in the quarter-finals by Serie B side Atalanta and they finished bottom of their UEFA Cup group with only 2 points.
