Football Identity

Firstly, some of you may already play this, its a huge game but as it hasn't been mentioned here before and I'm also a part of it with characters there, I thought I'd put it here and see either if people were already there, or secondly if people were interested in it.

In Footballidentity users take on the role of all important football characters such as the manager, footballer or journalist. Building your own football career is only possible through teamwork and interaction with other users as Identity, Strategy and Teamwork are three main components in the world of Footballidentity.

A new and exciting experience for any football interested person should be the turn-based football simulator in which users get to decide their footballers every move on the pitch, using nothing more than their computer-mouse.

Characters

You have a choice of manager, player or journalist.

The journalists are really only extra characters, people don't make them as their initial character, as their only role is basically like the media in FA does.

Managers have a lot of the control off the pitch. Each club has a wage and transfer budget that you can spend, but not a penny over it. A lot of the managers work during the week is negotiating with other users to do transfers, its a lot of man management where every single player is controlled by a user you have to be in charge of your whole squad of users. You pick formations pre-game and then watch over the team during games. If you buy a supporter pass you also get control over any bots (inactive players) in your team.

Players are the core of the game. You can create a character in any position at all, every player on the field is user created and controlled if they're online during the match. Moves are turn based and during the week you can train your character once a day to improve stats. Starting with a player 18-21 you have to develop them from there, making them specialised in whatever skill areas you want.

Matches

Matches are turn based. You pick where you move, what you do, dribble, tackle, pass, shoot etc. How good, how accurate, is all decided by your stats. The games are very similar to Football Manager games in 2D mode, the top down view of the circle players.

Every league has a different kick off time, so you can move your player into a league who play at a time that suits you!! For example my main character Ramsey plays in Englands 2A league, which kicks off Mondays and Thursdays at 8.45pm.

Leagues

Some countries have leagues up to 3rd tier, some don't have any. You'll be surprised when you look to see just how many countries are actually involved around the world. England has 3 tiers (1A, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 3C) as its one of the hotspots in the game with lots of British users. Wales for example has no leagues as currently only about 20 users have their nationality as Welsh, no where near enough to warrant our own league. You can move anywhere in the game if your manager agrees to sell you, and another manager agrees to pay your transfer fee. Everyone also agrees on a release fee in their contract so teams can buy you out to stop you ever getting stuck in a club if the manager quits or goes inactive.

Demo

The homepage runs a test area that allows you to test the game (only 15 minutes a half in the test) without even signing up!!

I'd say if you're interested, go into the test area and have a few games, see what you think. If you're interested in joining (1st character slot is free when you do register) then post here before you create your character and we can organise a team of us - I'll find us a club without a manager where we can all move into and start up in a not too difficult league.

If you're interested and have any questions about it just shout here as well. My characters are all in their 20s (Ramsey, Bellamy and Johnson!!) and I have a manager (Hughes) as well so I should be able to help.

Would be good if there was enough of us to get an active team going in one of the leagues, post if you're interested!!

Richard.

Looks intersting and not a set up I have come across before.

Do we need to all log on at a specific time to play the game then ?

That was similar to my question - do you have to log on the same time every week to play? If so that makes it difficult....

Each league plays the games at a set time so for example one league I'm in England 2A plays on Monday and Thursdays at 8.45pm. The times for kick off change for every league though, to suit when people aren't working in every country. All it means is if you work slightly odd hours you don't play in England leagues you play elsewhere (I have a manager in Finland!!)

Games are 2 times a week and are paired Monday-Thursday, Tuesday-Friday, or Wednesday-Sunday. If we can find a time enough of us aren't working during the week, I can find a league that fits the match times.

Of course theres time people don't make matches, each game has a sign up to let the manager know if you'll be turning up, so its pretty straight forwards if you can't make a day here and there.

Yes but games have set times so everyone knows when to log in, and the times the same each game so you just pick a league with times that suit the team. And it plays real time so its an hour and a half in the evening usually. Training is all done at any time you like.
