Segunda Division: Managers FA Manager of the Season

Candidates

Dave Davies-Evans - Villarreal have bounced straight back after the disappointment of relegation from La Liga winning the Segunda as champions and sitting 5 points clear of 2nd, at one point setting a club record of 11 wins in a row. The Spanish Cup ended in disappointment though going out in round 2 to Real Sociedad.

Daniel Reed - Celta Vigo have also secured promotion with a game to go, getting an expected 2nd place some 7 points clear of 3rd. In the Spanish Cup they made it to round 3 where the La Liga teams enter the competition, but went out to Valencia.

Iain Kochanowski - Cadiz have reaped the rewards of having such an experienced manager arrive under the new chairman, and a team some 5 years ago who were £50 million in debt are now sat in 3rd place in the Segunda thanks to various chairman and manager partnerships. Cadiz have already secured their play-off place before the final league match of the season, whilst in the Spanish Cup they went out in round 2 to Levante.

Adam Davies - Racing Santander were expected to finish in the top 8 at most this season having struggled last season and then when Adam Davies quit to take a time out of football management they seemed destined for another poor season. However new signings arrived and then Adam Davies returned to the club and they have gone from strength to strength. One of the most in form teams in the league at the moment, they have jumped up to 4th place and will be hoping to secure a play-off spot this season despite 4 teams still being in with a chance of the remaining 3 play-off places, and 3 of those teams only seperated by goal difference. In the Spanish Cup they crashed out in round 1 to Villarreal.

Voting ends Saturday.
