This is a place for managers to have their say on shaping the game. FA prides itself on catering to what the gamer wants and has had many things included that came from players on the game including the new game title.
If you have ideas on improving the game, whether it's from computer games you've played, online games you've played, or just fantastic ideas that spring into your head, you can put them down in here. As long as they are possible to include, and people want them, they'll become part of the FA set up. FA is an ever developing game and with your help it will continue to improve so I look forward to hearing peoples suggestions as they come up with them.
I think there should be a transfers list, all the players that the managers put up for sale or wanting to loan out should be put on a list instead of having to hunt for them by mail, would be alot easier for every manager to find the players they want and see excactly whos for sale instead of having to search for them, would be alot quicker.
RE: Search Engine, you can search on here. If you search for a player you want and set it to search the completed transfers forum, if it shows nothing up then the player is still at the original club, otherwise it'll list the moves that player made. EG. If you search for Thierry Henry it'll come up with nothing so telling you he's still at Arsenal.
RE: Transfer list. It's something that was on the old game early on but was replaced by these message boards where people can list players for sale in the transfer section. Would people want a transfer list or would this just repeat what people post on here?
A transfer list is much clearer but who would keep it up to date? In the very early incarnation of FA it was done once a week - it was changed because people weren't happy with it - the current system is much faster as you can see who is available straight away. However the weekly listing system might get rid of the ridiculous amount of failed transfers etc caused by people changing their minds. It seems to me the decision is less choice but more reliability or greater choice and less reliability.
There's the possibility of people contriibuting and even at a later stage the possibility of someone taking on new leagues and running them alongside the current ones I run which would allow FA to double in size thanks to some of the engine changes. Contributions have to be considered though because if work is handed out to people and they go missing it will have a negative effect on the game so only constantly reliable managers can be considered here.
In terms of the transfer list if people really feel the need, a whiteboard style system could be set up where managers write the player details on it themselves for others to see. This would keep it all in one place but I don't see how it would differ at all from the Transfers section on this board? Thoughts?
What about the rating system and the likes of the boards being happy, what if u dont make the grade of getting into the league position u were ment 2 but uv got the club finances stable or really gd does that go into account at the end of the season or is it just league position???
Financial management is included as well. If you've improved the team without having much money available for instance that will count in your favour. Generally if you do well in the low leagues, or with a struggling team, you'll get the recognition equal to managers chasing trophies. This is why I suggest to new managers that they take a season at a small club to 'learn the game' as this tends to get you used to everything, gets you noticed, and readies you for a move to a bigger club. A lot of the more experienced managers from the old game spent a season at a small club then moved upwards.
Hey Richard, what about on the Fixtures lists u put all the scores down on it from all the games then we no excactly what week we r on and then we can look back and c what kind of form the team we r playing next has been on??
Train new position? The ability to train a player into playing a new positions. For example, a centre midfielder who is strong defensively can be trained to play at centre back rather than centre midfield. If it was added, it could be an option in the 'Submit team' window and happen over the period of the match like transfers and loans..
As an idea id like to put forward an idea off being able to sign Loan players. If a player is performing well on loan at your club or another club, can we make it possible that a sale can be agreed ? It happens in real life football unless loan terms state otherwise.
Just an idea i thought may make the game more interesting
